I rested against Spocks shoulder as we sat on our picnic blanket.
With a lot, a lot of convincing Spock finally agreed to come on Shore-leave with me. He agreed to come on the condition that we'd spend most of the time he was on the planet together and that we'd only stay for 3 days.
It was actually pretty calming when almost everyone was gone, so I didn't mind staying on the ship.
Spock kissed my forehead, gently running his fingers through my hair.
For once the day seemed perfect, as we sat on top of a hill, as far away from life as we could be. Neither of us really spoke if we did it was just to tell the other how much we loved them.
I wished this moment could've lasted longer, but it was only a few more hours before we both agreed to head into town.
We'd packed everything up, and I was about to pick up my share of things to carry when Spock stopped me, pulling me down to a little lake on the other side of the hill.
"Y/n, I wish to tell you how much I love you, for a long time I struggled to understand the logic behind my love for you, how strong it was, I realize now that there is no logic behind it, loving you is logical and now I wish to take the most logical next step, Will you marry me?"
Tears pricked in my eyes as I almost shouted
"Yes, yes of course!"
He slid the ring onto my finger, standing up and eagerly lifting me up into a kiss.
Resting my forehead against his, I opened my mouth to speak when I recognized Jim's voice shout
"Shall we celebrate here?"
Him and my brother Bones came over the hill, with a bottle of champagne.
Once they caught up to us, I hugged both of them and Bones started examining the ring.
"I hope this one isn't a tracking device?"
"I will not comment on that"
