"Oh mother of god"
I muttered under my breath because as I finished fixing one panel the one behind me fell. I had barely slept at all and now I felt like everything was falling apart quite literally. Once my shift was over anyone who looked at me looked at me as though I'm I was a zombie which was honestly true. As I walked as fast I could I sighed heavily before some random ensign walked right into me. Spilling hot coffee all over me.
"I'm so sorry" the man who looked no older than 24 rambled out apologies after apologies.
"You're fine you're Fine"I pushed on and further past him turning the corner and I stopped in front of my door.
"Oh come on!"
I kicked at my door as it wouldn't budge only a small sliver I couldn't get my fingers through.
"Lieutenant l/n, I would like to.. what is wrong?"
The one voice I didn't want to hear right now came up to me.
"I haven't slept, everything went wrong during my shift and now my. stupid. door. won't. open."I recounted the details of my horrible day punctuating each word with a kick to my door. I threaded my fingers through my hair in frustration.
"Show me" data commanded
I stood by my door and I entered the code
92842831938.
The door opened by a sliver without hesitation Data reached his hand in between and shoved the door open not struggling at all. To test it he stood behind and let it close. I put in my Passcode and it opened again normally.
"I will have Geordi look over it in the morning"
"Thank you"
unexpectedly data wrapped his arms around me in an embrace. Stunned I hesitated before relaxing and wrapping my arms around him.
"Thank you really... thank you" I whispered.
