A/n: this one is way different than any I have done before. Just a PSA That This one isn't as light hearted as some other ones. I will go back to the regular scheduled programming next chapter.

Even though I work on the starship enterprise as a human I keep a deep dark secret.
"I'm a vampire"
I confessed to Deanna Troi she nodded processing each word I said before speaking up
"Y/n, I understand that working amongst aliens as a human can make someone wish they were like their alien friends but vampires are myths from centuries ago" she looked at me as though I was crazy, as did everyone I confessed this too.
I couldn't think of a better response then to show her my fangs. I found in my mind the trace of an animal that resembled a deer for some reason close by, following my instincts I strutted out of her room
Leaving her with one single command
"Follow me"
She was hot on my tail as we walked, I turned again into a hallway when a deer was just standing there staring me down like I was the predator to its prey.
I charged forward and lunged into it letting out a deep loud growl as my hunger was filled
When I was done with it I threw myself to the corner of the room my mouth covered in blood. I took deep breaths
"I haven't eaten properly in so long, god that was good" I turned to Deanna who had her hand over her mouth in shock, utterly terrified of me.
"It's okay, I'm not going to hurt you"
I reached out to her, she ran in fear most likely to go to Commander Riker. I calmed down a bit and went the other way the lingering memory's of every other time someone ran away from me after I showed them the truth. I walked into my quarters to wash my face, using my fingers I got some of the blood off my mouth washing the rest off. I paused to look in the mirror repeating the phrase I always said as a kid
"I am not a monster. I will never be a monster"
After cleaning up and regaining composure I went ten forward to get water and to have my blood replacement pills.
As I sat at the bar slowly sipping my drink I felt eyes on me, turning around I saw commander Riker staring at me, with Deanna, with Lieutenant Commander Data, with Doctor Crusher, and some stranger.
I took one last gulp of my drink before walking over Deanna gripping Rikers hand tighter as I approached.
"Anything I can do for you all"
I sat down knowing in the back of my head my fate
"Yes, explain what Deanna saw you do today"
"She saw me feasting on a deer, I understand why she is disturbed by it, Almost no one speaks to me after I tell them the truth" I mimicked Rikers cold stare. Both women at the table clearly scared of me.
"I take blood supplements, kills my hunger for awhile, up until I had the deer it was at least 4 years since I had proper food. Don't worry if I wanted to eat you I would have done it awhile ago" I turned to them playing it up to freak them out I smiled at their faces.
"I'm only joking you, yes I am blood sucking vampire but I'm in control of myself. I don't attack at random unless I'm provoked, I'm dying, or I'm just really really hungry" I laughed that took no ones edge off but mine.
"We want you to come to the med bay ASAP" I nodded and got up walking confidently, this test wasn't new to me so I wasn't fazed by it.

**Time Skip**

I sat on the med table as doctor crusher scanned over me trying to figure out what was wrong with me
"You want to examine my fangs"
My fangs were 17 mm long and next to my two front teeth.
I hissed as she peered up into my mouth a sudden new voice startled me.
"Aww this is the vampire say give me a bite?"
The same man from earlier lent his neck out to me, without thinking I lunged at him just barely missing him he smiled as he helped me catch myself
"Woah there"
He pulled away and I slightly smiled at the man
"I'm Y/n"
"I am Q" he announced proudly
"You wouldn't eat this would you" he held a dog in his arms and I raised an eyebrow at him
"No I would never"
"I think this is going to be the beginning of something wonderful" he grinned before walking away.
