Violet POV

I stand up and stop Ruby from walking closer to Max by standing in between them

V: max...really i'm sure if they knew something they wouldn't lie

Max lets out a shaky sigh, then pops her collar of her shirt up

M: fine *clears throat* uh...thanks for nothing i guess

R: *growls*

Max walks out and closes the door and Ruby pushes past me and storms to her room...why wouldn't she tell her? It'd probably help...then again...maybe they didn't want to be seen as the problem. I hear ripping and shredding noises come from her room. I hurry over and peck thru the slightly open door...she's in that demon form again...like when i found them at the warehouse...i don't remember the tail...it has a razor sharp spear shape at the end. She digs her nails into the wall and tears thru it like a knife to butter

R: f-fucking bull shit! i-it's not my fucking fault! i don't have shit to do with it!

I step in quietly and walk up to her bed as she rips her sheets in anger...now that i really look around this room has always been a mess. Rips and holes in the walls, burn and claw marks on the floor. Then the next thing they do gets me to react. They rip at their own wrist...it heals and they do it again. I quickly get behind them and wrap my arms around them. They notice right away and try to open their wings and throw me off

R: G-GET THE FUCKING HELL OFF!-

She's hot...by that i mean boiling to the touch, But i hold on

V: n-no...ruby you can't hurt yourself! you're right you're not the issue i promise it's not you please please stop

They get up and back up fast, banging me into the wall. I hold on as they trash around. They crash into a mirror and look at it. I glow my eyes and they stop moving as i calm them down with my light glow...that's my power...that's all it's ever been...calming people down...but i'm glad to have it. They're eyes start to flash and they fall to their knees groaning and crying. I get off and rub her back

R: i-it's n-not my f-fault it's n-not my fucking f-fault

She claws into the ground hard and slices thru it

V: you're right...i promise you're right okay?-

She hugs me and puts her forehead to my shoulder...the horns lay on top but still hurt slightly. I see them try to claw at her wrist again and try to stop them. But they do and this time they don't heal. Blood starts to gush out of them

V: ruby...please heal them-

R: n-no no i f-fucking deserve t-them i'm a c-coward for t-trying to stop myself-

I pull her back and hold her cheek. They look at me with still flashing eyes and blood tears running down their face...they flash their sharp teeth at me as a defense mechanism...after a while of just looking at me she puts down her guard and her eyes stop flashes

V: ...please heal them...please ruby

R: *sniff*...o-okay...okay

She heals herself and pulls me into another hug, this time wrapping her warm wings around us too

V: ...y-you'll have to tell them sooner or later-

Her eyes insistently glow again and i feel her claw into my back hard and drags her nails down ripping thru my shirt and flesh. I shouldn't have pushed it! I scream in pain and beg them to stop

V: I-I'M SORRY RUBY P-PLEASE STOP I-IT HURTS!...R-RUBY P-PLEASE

R: *gasp*

She snaps out of it and lets go. I fall onto my side crying in pain. They look at their shaking hands and then at me

R: i...i r-really am a f-fucking monster
