Narrator POV~ Somewhere in Tokyo inside a store~
"Heh? Ran-Onee-chan, you know Kudo Shinichi?" asked Ayumi who with the rest of the Shounen Tantei dan came with Mouri on her trip for groceries, not knowing about Mouri and Kudo's relationship before.
Mouri, who had her back turned to them while looking through the cabbage section, turned towards Ayumi at the question and said "Y-Yeah, kind of..." Ayumi became excited at the answer and said "Sugoi!" Mitsuhiko butted in "I can't believe you know that famous high school detective." Genta started teasing "Maybe he's even your boyfriend?" which got Mouri and Edogawa blushing.
Irene pinched Edogawa in time for Mouri to defensively say "No! It's not like that!" which stopped any questions. She didn't pinch him hard, it barely hurt and since he understood what she's doing Edogawa didn't say anything.
"So, he is your boyfriend right?" Ayumi asked excitedly, Mouri became red again and stuttered "Uh, so yeah.." she was holding a cabbage and put her hand on her cheek before she started peeling the vegetable unconsciously and continued "Uh, no, leave me alone." while smiling, Edogawa looked at her in deadpan while Irene smiled sadly remembering the times she was like that with her ex-boyfriends before they started dating.
Irene decided to help Mouri out by saying "What Ran-nee-chan's trying to say is that she likes him but they're not dating." which got Ayumi to ask "Eh? really?" to which Irene nodded and Genta said "Awww..." before the three kids looked dejected.
