Narrator pov. Flashback time~

A certain girl in pigtails was bouncing a ball under a Sakura tree and singing "Marutake Ebisuni Oshioike~ Rokakku Bride... Takonishiki~ Shiayabttakamatsu Wan five units~ The snowshoes... ding-dong-dong-dong~" a certain boy was watching her through the window but she didn't notice him.

She continued, "Passing through the 6th and the 7th and the 8th~ You'll get to the Toni Avenue~ And the final one is the 9th avenue~"

Flashback end~

At Beika station, Kudo was using the bowtie to talk to Mouri from the nearby shop's phonebooth while waiting for Irene to buy them something to eat since they were both hungry. 

Mouri said, "Ja, you can't come back yet." Kudo replied, "Yeah... I'm busy investigating a case." she said, "I see... It's pretty cold lately, so take care of your body." Kudo retorted, "Same to you, don't forget to cover your stomach when you're sleeping." 

She got surprised and exclaimed, "I never slept without covering my stomach! Baka!" Kogoro's drunk voice was heard saying "Yoshinoyama~ Stepping on the white snow in the mountains in order to look for any living things~ You are not Yoshitsune and Shizuka Gozen."

Mouri's voice replied, "What's that supposed to mean? He's my childhood friend so it's okay to worry about him, isn't it?" before she held the phone back to her ear and informed, "Otousan is being noisy so I'm gonna hang up." before she hung up.

Kudo said, "Ah, Oi!" but she already hung up so he grew a deadpan look and exclaimed, "Taku! Next time, I'll call when Occhan isn't there." as he placed the phone back in its holder then realized something "Yoshitsune and Shizuka Gozen? Didn't those two never meet each other again after they departed?" 

He thought 'Oi, oi.' before Irene walked out of the store while waving at the owner, who was an old lady, happily exclaiming "Ja ne, Obaa-san!" the owner replied, "Have a good day, Ojou-chan. Thanks again for your help!" 

Edogawa raised an eyebrow as she handed him the snack he wanted which made her rub the back of her head sheepishly while she explained, "It's the reason I was a little late. The owner needed some help reaching for some things and I decided to just make it easier for her to reach by moving and re-adjusting some shelves which worked so... yeah. That's what she was thanking me for."
