Narrator pov. At the agency~

It was another long weekend that didn't start with anything interesting nor even looks like it will become interesting anytime soon.

After the ordeal with the FBI and the Organization. (Clash of red and black arc) Edogawa started spending more time at the agency than at the hospital but, surprisingly, no cases have happened yet.

The weekend started yesterday when Mouri got a call from Suzuki, inviting her to a sleepover again starting the day after, Mouri accepted as she asked if the shrunken duo was okay with staying at Agasa's and they said yes.

Kogoro didn't need to say anything for them to know what he was planning to do. First off, there was a live Yoko performance that was going to happen tomorrow starting 11 am until 2 pm that he was, obviously, going to then there was a new pachinko parlor that all the household members noticed he had his eyes on.

So Irene and Edogawa had to wait until tomorrow to be able to see Ai and Agasa and get to do some things, as themselves instead of little kids, without caution of being caught.

Or at least, that's what Irene thought until she remembered the dove out the window.

The dove, Tama, was sitting there out of his post, waiting patiently for the usual lunch break. Irene got up and got some seeds and greens to feed the polite dove that didn't do any noise to indicate its existence and instead waited for her to notice since she was in the room.

She opened the window slightly and placed the food at the dove's feet as it began eating immediately and she smiled as she stroked it, careful not to disturb the bird while doing so, and thought 'Come to think of it... I didn't get to spend at least a day with him out of his costume ever since I moved.'

Not that that was her fault though, cases were happening almost every day thanks to a certain detective being her housemate, and she had to get ready to meet important people and culprits all the time.

'But maybe...' she started, 'Maybe since nothing is happening, and it's a long weekend...' she can go at least spend two days with him, as cousins/siblings instead of friendly strangers... As family instead of allies.

She gasped as she realized that that might be a good idea and then closed the window before she ran to find Mouri who was getting ready for tomorrow's sleepover, while the dove was still too far away to transmit the conversation as it was eating.
