Narrator Pov. At the Agency~

A certain actress and her manager had arrived and explained their situation to Kogoro while they showed him the heist notice from a certain thief and he said, "I see. This is the advance notice you received from Kid?" 

The actress, Maki Juri, replied, "Hai. This morning, on the balcony of my apartment, it was placed along with a large bouquet of roses." Edogawa grew a deadpan look at hearing about the roses and thought 'He's still as pretentious as ever.' 

Irene was taking the chance when no one was looking to feed Shiro some food by the window with a small smile, which only Edogawa noticed but knew better than to say anything as he just smiled at seeing her happily taking care of animals.

Kogoro took the notice and started reading it out loud, "Romeo, Juliet... Victor, Bravo! In the midst of where 26 letters fly about... I shall call upon you and gratefully accept the (Jewel of Destiny). Kaitou Kid." 

He noticed something at the bottom and added, "Along with a playing card that's been split in half." Mouri came over with the tea and set the tray down as she said, "Here you go." which made the manager look at her and say "Arigatou." as she picked up a cup and started sipping from it with Juri doing the same.

Juri paused which made the manager look at her before she looked at Kogoro and nervously asked, "Ano... What's your opinion, Mouri-sensei?" Kogoro replied, "Let's see here... This (Jewel of Destiny) would be?" 

Juri answered, "Oh, that would be in reference to this." as she took out a ring box and placed it on the table in front of him before opening it to show a beautiful sapphire. Kogoro looked at it in amazement before Mouri exclaimed, "How pretty!" which got them to look at her as she was standing by Edogawa near the desk.

She got embarrassed and covered her mouth with a blush which got Edogawa to look up at her in confusion while Kogoro looked at her in annoyance before he looked back towards the ladies and asked, "This is a star sapphire, right?" 

Juri answered, "Yes.  The three lines that intersect on its surface represent faith, hope, and fate. This is why it is known as the (Jewel of Destiny)." Kogoro replied, "I see... It sure is magnificent!" Juri added, "It's perfect for Josephine, whose love for blue sapphires was no trifling matter... That is why we're currently using it in the performance."
