Narrator POV~ (9:00 AM) at tropical land~

"Where is she? We're gonna wait a long time in line if she doesn't get here soon" said Mitsuhiko looking at his watch, hearing that Genta exclaimed in despair "But then we wouldn't be able to get any food!" which made Mitsuhiko look at him with a deadpan look thinking 'It's always the food that's important to you isn't it?' before sighing and looking at the only girl in their group right now Yoshida Ayumi who's looking around worriedly, looking for their new friend.

Right now the three of them are waiting at the entrance of the Tropical Land amusement park for a certain shrunken brunette who has, just like Mitsuhiko pointed out earlier, not arrived yet.

"And she was looking forward to coming with us when we invited her this Friday..." said Ayumi sadly, remembering that time...

Flashback time~(Lunchtime) at Teitan elementary class 1-b~

"Eh? Tropical Land?" asked Irene looking at Ayumi who nodded saying "Un! Our parents gave us permission to go there alone this weekend! And since Irene-chan is our friend too I want you to come with us! So? Are you coming?"  she asked the last part while giving Irene a pleading look.

After Irene heard the explanation the thought that was in her head was 'That means this weekend Kudo would shrink to Edogawa... Finally!' then she smiled at Ayumi and answered "Of course! I know my cousin wouldn't mind me going out with friends, so I'm definitely going!" the smile on her face getting wider, hearing the answer Ayumi ran over to Irene and held her in a hug.

 Irene expecting that reaction had her arms open for Ayumi's hug, when Ayumi finally wrapped her arms around the other brunette she exclaimed: "Arigatou Irene-chan!" to which Irene replied "No, thank you Ayumi-chan for being a great friend" hearing that Ayumi hugged her tighter and said "No problem! Irene-chan deserves it!" before giggling happily. Irene not surprised about Ayumi's reply but feeling her infectious happiness flowing in her, smiled a peaceful smile.

End of flashback~

That's why they're at the entrance of the amusement park, waiting for the second girl in their group to come.

After another minute Ayumi saw the person they were waiting for running in their direction. It was obvious that she saw them already but just in case Ayumi waved her hand and exclaimed "Irene-chan! Over here!" which made the boys look at where she's looking and notice their friend as well.
