Narrator pov.At Teitan Elementary school~
The school day just ended and the detective boys walked over to their shoe lockers, the real kids looked disappointed when there was no case request left in Genta's locker, like usual, and while taking out their shoes, they were talking about what to do today since they didn't have homework and another long weekend was apparently starting soon.
The shrunken trio gave each other deadpan looks, they still didn't look in their lockers to take their shoes, as they were sure yesterday was the start of March, which shouldn't have a long weekend after it, but they heard from the kids and Kobayashi that it was suddenly the end of March which meant a long weekend.
They silently sighed before they turned back to their lockers to take out their shoes, well, Edogawa and Ai took theirs out, but Irene paused as she let out an "Eh?" which attracted her friends' attention as they all stopped their chatter and looked at her.
Ayumi asked, "What's wrong, Irene-chan?" Irene's locker was right next to Ayumi's so she peeked in to see that there was something other than her sneakers inside the locker. Something that had Irene's name on it.

When Irene took it out to see better both she and Ayumi gasped in realization and Ayumi happily exclaimed, "Chotto, isn't that a love letter?!" which attracted the rest of the Detective Boys' attention and they all let out an "Eh?!" surprised.
