Narrator pov. Shibuya on the streets~

It was raining heavily so everyone outside was holding an umbrella to cover themselves from the rain. Mouri and Suzuki were walking and had stopped in front of a clothes store's display window that was displaying a pretty dress.

Suzuki was telling her friend about a certain thief and Mouri asked "Eh? Kaitou 1412?" Suzuki answered excitedly "Right! That hoary thief that many young girls these days are falling for." she giggled slightly and Mouri said in deadpan "Hoary?"

That made Suzuki ask "You're the daughter of a detective and you still don't know?" Mouri answered, "Excuse me but that doesn't make me a crime fan." before she started walking to the nearest stoplight. Suzuki followed her while exclaiming "But please, please, please!" 

They were now walking side by side and Mouri asked, "And so you want my dad to catch Thief-san?" The light has just changed to red when they arrived and Suzuki answered, "Exactly! You know that Beika Museum is currently collecting all the famous jewels from around the world for an exhibit right? And my dad has submitted our family treasure, Black Star the pearl that brings fortune. I want your dad to protect it from Kaitou 1412's reach."

Mouri asked in reply "But why my dad when you can just leave it to the police?" Suzuki answered "No way. If the police catch him, they'll just take him away. But if your dad catches him, we might get to see his face."

That made Mouri repeat "Face?" in confusion which made Suzuki exclaim "Of course! Don't you want to know what he looks like? 1412 is an infamous thief the whole world is talking about, after all. He must be really handsome! Like Harrison Ford or Jean Reno or-"

Mouri said, "You've got things so easy, Sonoko." the light changed to green and Mouri started crossing while saying "Sonoko, let's go, the light's green." and pulling her friend along who replied, "Hai, hai."

Suzuki went on "A face like Brad Pitt's would be nice too." which made Mouri just laugh until she noticed a certain face that was similar to someone else's crossing the street from the opposite side alongside a female that she didn't realize looks like her.

He passed by her and she was standing still in shock and he had reached the other side along with the girl. She exclaimed "Shinichi!" while dropping her umbrella and Suzuki who was completely out of the crosswalk exclaimed, "Watch out!" while pulling her back towards her out of the way of the cars that are passing by.
