AN: Welp, this is gonna be a heartbreaking one for Irene. Warning: Shinran ahead. The sneakers are purple and she's wearing her cap, also this outfit is just for the camping trip, I'll show a picture of the outfit she wears for the play later. Now let's start the chapter!

Narrator pov. At night in the agency~

Mouri was practicing for her school festival's play with Kogoro's help as she was saying "Not just once, but twice! Who was it that saved my life again? Oh, you unnamed knight with your black cloak, if you will grant me my wish... Please take off that dark mask and show me your true face!" sounding and looking perfect in her role.

Kogoro, who was substituting as the knight with a shopping bag over his face, read his role on the script out loud, "If that is what the princess wishes, I shall show you my sorrowful face under this moonlight!" before he took off the bag with a cheesy smile, which obviously was the wrong expression for that moment.

Mouri was annoyed as she exclaimed, "Mou Otousan, do it properly! There isn't time left until the festival." Edogawa was looking through a copy of the script on the couch as he yawned since he was bored while Irene was drawing... the kiss between the knight and princess in the play, forcing herself to not let her emotions get in her work since she wanted it to look right.

(... Irene-chan... :c)

Kogoro replied, "Baro, how can I do this properly with all of these cheesy lines?" Edogawa noticed how Irene's attitude while drawing looked unusual, as she kept stopping and closing her eyes for a few seconds before she went back to drawing with an empty expression, and was concerned 'Is she ok?'

(... *Inhale* BOI OFC SHE'S NOT OK!! SHE'S DRAWING YOU KISSING RAN!! >:C)

Before he could ask though, Kogoro questioned, "Who in the world would write such a melodramatic script?" Mouri answered, "Sonoko, it was Sonoko! She said the (Black Cloaked Knight) was made in Shinichi's image." 

That made Edogawa annoyed 'That woman...' before he heard Irene sigh which made him look back at her to see her closing her artbook and placing it beside her on the couch with a small relieved smile, though it looked like she was more relieved that she didn't have to continue drawing rather than being relieved that she finished.

She thought 'Finally... It's perfect.' as the feeling of heartbreak she was bearing the whole time while she was drawing finally left and was replaced with relief.

Again before Edogawa could ask, Kogoro exclaimed, "Oi, wait a minute! It says here that the knight and princess will exchange a warm kiss!" which caught his attention as he thought 'N-Nani?!' looking through his copy of the script angrily before Irene used the link to tell him the page.
