AN: Welp, it's the case that introduces Taii. I'm probably gonna shorten this and make Irene kick the criminals' butt again like in the Smash of Determination. She's wearing her cap, along with the handbag and watch. Now let's start the chapter!

Narrator pov. At the park~

Edogawa kicked the soccer ball up into the air before he started bouncing it on his knee when it dropped back down.

Since Irene was there, the teams split into two teams of three, Edogawa, Mitsuhiko, and Ayumi in one team with Ayumi as goalkeeper, and Ai, Irene, and Genta in the other with Genta as the goalkeeper.

Ai went to block him as she said, "I'm not letting it through!"  but Edogawa just kicked the ball up over her and ran past her to get it, Irene beat him to it and took the ball in from the air and kicked it into the other team's goal, giving them a third one which made the score 3-2.

The two girls high-fived while Genta cheered as Ayumi pouted and Mitsuhiko sighed before Edogawa took the ball and ran past Ai again and immediately ran to the goal without giving Irene a chance.

Genta saw him coming and said, "Yosh! Bring it on!" Edogawa complied and replied, "There!" and kicked the ball up with it hitting inside the square of the goal, Genta was unable to block it, and Ayumi happily cheered "Yatta! Our third goal! Conan-kun's sugoi!" Mitsuhiko was also happy.

Edogawa replied, "Yeah!" Genta picked the ball up and said, "Hey, this ain't fair." Irene replied, "Don't mind, don't mind, Genta-kun. We're tied so no team technically won yet." Edogawa added, "And I only kicked with my left foot, you know."

Ai replied, "Then we'll have to seal away your left foot and you can only use your right." Edogawa retorted, "Oi, oi." 

Genta started bouncing the ball on his head as the three members of Irene's team stared at him and he said, "Oi, oi, why so serious? We're only doing this to kill time waiting for the Christmas cake to arrive at Hakase's place, right?" he looked down at his watch "So it's just another two hours, really."

Genta grinned as he kicked the ball forward and exclaimed, "Let's go!" Ai and Irene smiled as they ran after it and Edogawa looked back in surprise as he let out an "Eh?" then he realized it as he said, "That's low!" 

Irene headed the ball forward past Mitsuhiko when it neared her as she called out, "Ai-chan go!" Ai replied, "Okay!" as she got near the goal and Ayumi let out an "Eh?" as she looked nervous.  Ai exclaimed, "Here I go! Higo-san's signature no-spin shot!"
