Kogoro's reunion murder case

Narrator pov. Somewhere on the streets~

"Why won't you take us to your reunion?" Mouri asked her father while all 4 members of the household were on their way to eat lunch outside. Kogoro answered "What do you mean why? It's my reunion!" Mouri countered with "But you took me 5 years ago, right?" Kogoro replied "Listen, I can't leave the office with no one there. What would happen if I got a big case?"

Mouri retorted "If a client comes, I can't do a thing if you're out playing! We want to go to an Onsen too. Ne, Irene-chan, Conan-kun?" Irene nodded excitedly while Edogawa said "U-Un." Kogoro still didn't back down and said "As I said before, instead of the onsen, I'm treating you to a lunch now."

Mouri replied, "Then we'll skip it, and you can take us to the onsen!" that's when Kogoro finally revealed his real reasons "D-Don't be stupid! Recently, it has become more expensive to travel within Japan than overseas! And then I have to pay for 4 people?! Try putting yourself in my shoes!"

Mouri sweatdropped saying "So that's the real reason." which made Kogoro cover his mouth but before anything else was said "Thief! The bank has been robbed!" came from the bank that was on the street they're walking on and the thief was running in the same direction they're walking too.

Kogoro ran after him exclaiming "Why you!" with Edogawa following while holding Irene's hand, again, which made Mouri say "Chotto, you three!" before she ran after them. The thief ran inside an ally and Kogoro followed him shouting "Wait! You're not getting away!" which made the thief point a gun at him exclaiming "Kuso! Don't come any closer or I'll shoot!" which almost stopped Kogoro and Edogawa who was behind him and let go of Irene's hand.

If it weren't for Irene throwing the brick that was nearby and hitting the gun which made the thief drop it and Kogoro to capture him and knock him down before Mouri and the other passerby along with police officers coming over. 

In the commotion, no one noticed someone put a handkerchief on top of the gun then picking it up except Irene who knew better than to say anything. Kogoro dragged the thief out of the alley and when Mouri saw him, she exclaimed "Sugoi! You caught that bank robber, Otousan!" which made him laugh his cocky laugh.

Then he said "With the great detective Mouri Kogoro, it's easier than taking candy from a baby! Well that and Irene throwing that brick hard enough to knock the gun out of the robber's hand." he smiled down at Irene at the last part who blushed in embarrassment and said, "I-I j-just thought that if I didn't do something Ojiisan will get shot so I d-did that without thinking."
