Narrator POV~ (3:15 PM) at Ekoda high school~

Irene sat there at the table waiting for her "cousin" to get out of school for hours now but since it's not the first time for her to wait that long she didn't mind, especially since the scenery around Ekoda was peaceful so it made the waiting feel shorter. 

When Irene looked at her watch and saw the time, she thought 'Any second now...' while standing up from her chair and holding the suitcase.

Just as she took one step forward the school bell rang so she started walking till she was standing at the front of the school while the students were filing out, then as Irene was looking around taking the role of an anxious child looking for their relative, she was unconsciously avoiding bumping into other high schooler's legs at the same time.

Until she heard her new "cousin" exclaiming: "Wait... Oh, no! I forgot to pick her up from the train station! Kuso!" hearing that Irene thought 'So that's his plan to why I would be here alone...'  she had to admit that was a good idea but that means she will have to act like a child feeling betrayed once she sees him, not that she couldn't do that.

While she was thinking this, she heard Nakamori asking: "Her? Her who?" with a tone that was full of jealousy which caused Irene to imagine what the meeting would be like if she was still in her teenage body and she sweatdropped thinking 'I guess it's a good thing that I'm like this, otherwise she might think that Kuroba likes someone else...' and she didn't want to be the reason for those 2 not to end up together. 

Again while she was thinking that, she heard Kuroba reply: "My distant cousin... She's supposed to come to Japan today then use the Shinkansen to get to Ekoda, I told her that I'll pick her up when she gets there at 10 o'clock but..." he trailed off in shame just as they (Hakuba, Momoi, Koizumi and the 2 mentioned before) came in to view of Irene who, the moment she saw them, put on a childish glare and frown and aimed it at Kuroba.

Then pretending to be angry, she continued what Kuroba was saying: "But my so-called great Kaito-Nii-chan was too great to remember a simple promise with his simple little cousin! Ne? Onii-chan?" she said all of this while her glare and frown deepened and even though she said the first part while looking at Kuroba's friends and throwing her arms in the air in anger, she asked the last part while looking at Kuroba who "flinched" after hearing the question and seeing the look.
