Ayumi, Genta, and Mitsuhiko were reading a funny children's book and laughing while Irene was drawing something at the same table sitting across from them. Edogawa was looking at the two books he was holding in deadpan.
He thought 'Taku! This place is filled with the most useless books! So I'm supposed to read one of these insipid things and write a report on it?' he looked at the bookshelf 'More than that, what's up with this haphazard row of books?' he sighed while putting the books back on the shelf.
He thought 'I guess it's only natural. This is the children's corner so little kids are taking books and putting them back all the time.' he noticed something in the bookcase beside the shelves and went to check it while filled with curiosity. He thought 'Books from overseas...'

Someone took the book from him from behind and he looked to see the head of the library smiling at him. He said "Now, now. These books aren't for little children." which made Edogawa say "Oh, Gomenesai."
There was the sound of sirens coming closer to the library and the other three real kids went to check it out by looking out the window. They saw police cars and Ayumi called Edogawa over "Conan-kun! Look! Patrol cars!" which got him to stand on the stool she's using to look. Irene was using Genta's shoulders to look since he was the one who suggested it.
Mitsuhiko said, "I wonder if something happened." then Ayumi said, "Maybe some crime's been committed!" the head of the library was lifting a box of books off the table when an employee came over and said, "Kancho, there are police officers downstairs!" the head replied "Eh? I see. I'll be right down." before going down while still holding the box in his arms.
