The Mouri household members were now hiking in the mountains with a group of other hikers as it was another holiday and they didn't have anything else to do.
Though, as their usual luck would have it, when they were taking a snack break and eating the bentos they got from the hotel, they heard a scream from somewhere by the village where their hotel was and they went over to see.
A dead body.
Kogoro exclaimed, "Ran, call the police!" Mouri replied, "Hai!" before she took out her phone and started to make the call while Kogoro added, "Nobody moves! Until the police are here, no one is allowed to leave the scene!" since everyone in the village knew who he was already, everyone complied until the police arrived.

When Megure and the others arrived, they identified the victim and Takagi said, "The victim is Kita Kin-san, 34 years old. He's said to have come here for a vacation." Megure asked, "And the cause of death?" Takagi answered, "Poisoning, according to the forensics' autopsy, the victim ingested some onigiri which had fugu in it and Tetrodotoxin entered his system. We found seaweed between his teeth, so there's no mistake."
Irene was the one who found the leftover rice in the snow while Edogawa was the one who pointed out the seaweed in Kin's teeth.
Megure then said, "And the one who discovered him is..." he looked at Kogoro "You again, Mouri-kun?!" Kogoro sweatdropped and rubbed the back of his head with a nervous smile though Irene was glancing at the real murder magnet who didn't try to deny it and just sighed.
