Living a normal life was now impossible to Lily after being kidnapped by the tatters. She was stolen off of the boat that was supposed to take her to England to study from the White Sea after visiting her family that lived in Egypt because of her fa...
The doors to the room suddenly burst open. The rope around my neck went loose letting me breathe again. I coughed and gasped trying to breathe again. The ropes binding my hands together were cut off and my hands were free.
"Sultanim!" A panicked Halil helped me stand up again. My eyes trailed to the body of the executioner laying on the floor dead with a dagger sticking from the back of his skull.
"Come on, we have to run" Halil pulled me out of the room. I pulled my hand away from his which made him stop and turn to me.
"I will not leave without my children" I hissed. I made the mistake of leaving with my children once but I won't do it again. I ran towards the door where I found the men that held my maids back also dead. I kneeled down beside one and pulled out his sword. I was not stupid enough to walk back in with only a dagger.
"You can't! It's too dangerous, we were barely able to save Hürrem sultan from them" Halil begged holding on to my arm. I shrugged him off and walked back in. Hundi the only one left waiting for me followed after me.
I walked into the harem where I found maids sitting around, some crying while others seemed in shock. One of them saw me and stood up bowing to me shakily, others followed except one, I've seen her around here before, she was an innocent girl but the look in her eyes right now showed anything but innocence.
"You're not dead?" She asked like a maniac. She stood up from the floor dropping her innocent act and stepped closer to me. Hundi tried to step forward but I stopped her and kept her behind me.
"I kill you then" she yelled and tried to charge at me but I raised the sword and struck her down. She lay on the ground bleeding from the cut I had given her. I froze for a second panting as I watched her wither before she laid still on the floor.

"Someone better get me, my children, before I burn this palace down" I hissed glaring at the girls around the harem. Three of them ran out of the harem to do as told.
"Cover her, I don't want the children seeing this" I ordered. Hundi pulled a blanket and covered the body and blood with the help of another maid from the harem. No one dared to say or do anything else as I waited for my children to be brought.
It was Osman who emerged first into the harem followed by Mara and Mal leading Ayse, Abdullah, Murad, and Kaya Ismihan. Nesrin walked behind them holding Rana Beyhan's hand. The five years old was shaking which broke my heart. Helen and Rosie walked in last each holding a twin.
"Oh, darling" I threw the sword to the side and pulled Osman and Abdullah in for a hug. I kissed Osman's head before I turned to Ayse and hugged her tightly. I turned to Murad who was putting on a brave face but he seemed a little scared too. I hugged him to comfort him before moving to Kaya and Beyhan, I kissed them both. I turned to the twins and checked that they were alright before turning to Hundi.
"Let's go" I took hold of Beyhan's hand and pulled her along with me. I walked out of the harem and back out of the palace. Halil had prepared a carriage in the meantime. I made the children get in first.
