Suleiman swiped back some of Qamar's hair, it has been several days since she fell into this coma. Suleiman has not left her side for a second since then. Ayse came every single morning and spent the entire day beside her father and mother before leaving to sleep in her own room. Osman had a different mission and that was to keep his younger siblings away from the Valide chamber so they wouldn't have to see their mother in this condition. It was only Murad who knew after he was able to trick Osman and slip into the room before anyone could stop him, he cried by Qamar's side for hours while Suleiman tried to comfort him. However for now he was in his chambers dealing with some matters that could not wait any longer.
"When will she wake up?" Murad asked in a whisper so he would not disturb Ayse who was praying a couple of feet away from them. She swayed back and forth as she read the words in the Quran praying for her mother's health.
"I hope soon, I miss seeing her eyes too" Osman whispered back rubbing Murad's back to comfort the younger boy.
"Do you think someone did this?" Murad asked. Osman's head perked up and looked at his brother in shock. Could there be a possibility that this was not something that happened naturally?
"Stay here," Osman ordered. Murad nodded without questioning his brother. Osman got up and left the room in a hurry, he has to give this suggestion to Yahya, maybe Murad was right.
Murad took Qamar's hand into his, rubbing it as if he was trying to keep it warm. Murad couldn't believe his eyes the first time he saw his mother in this condition, she has always been a strong woman who was there for everyone, she was by his aunt Hatice's side while her world collapsed when Ibrahim Pasha cheated on her, she was a strong wall protecting him and his siblings from his aunt Sahihuban no matter what she did to hurt her.
The doors to the chamber opened making Murad turn around to look at who came. Ayse paused her reading to identify the person who walked in and much to her dismay it was Firuze. Ayse jumped up from the floor and stepped down the stairs that led to the sitting area. She stepped into Firuze's path before she could get any closer to the bed. Murad jumped off the bed and moved to stand in front of the foot of the bed. Firuze bowed to the Sultana in front of her with a weird look in her eyes.

"What are you doing here?" Ayse asked, sounding defensive, Ayse hated Firuze almost as much as she hated Ayas for what he did to her and her mother.
"I heard that the Sultana was sick and wanted to help, I have some experience in medicine" Firuze answered, turning to look at Qamar's weak form with a look Ayse did not like, it was like she was glad that Qamar was in such a position.
"We do not want your help. His Majesty bought the best doctors in the empire to look after her, she definitely does not want help from a lowlife like you" Ayse hissed pushing Firuze back. Firuze looked shocked by the outburst of the usually calm Sultana. Ayse was no mountain, she could not handle floods and strong winds, and she could not handle strong storms, but she would rather die than let a snake-like Firuze near her mother in such a condition. Murad walked over to the two women and stepped in between them with his shoulders tense and tightening his fists on his sides. Ayse placed her hands on her brother's shoulders proudly, he was not a coward and stepped in when he felt danger surrounding his older sister.
"You better leave" Murad glared up at the older woman. He may be young but he heard whispers here and there about Firuze, she was one of the causes of his mother's pain, she was trying to ruin the relationship between his father and mother.
"Sehzade-" Firuze said in a soothing voice as if she was a siren trying to charm him into going into the water. Murad pulled the dagger he had tugged into his belt, it was a gift from his mother to protect himself with after his sixteenth birthday.
"Leave before I kill you" Murad hissed his threat. Firuze's eyes widened at the sudden aggressiveness of the prince. Ayse smirked proudly at Firuze whose gaze moved to look at her for help.
"I merely wanted to help," Firuze squeaked in a small voice. Ayse noticed the sudden change but ignored it.
"We told you, his majesty has the best doctors in the empire here, our mother does not need you, you traitor" Ayse hissed angrily. Firuze looked confused at Ayse, where did the word traitor come from?
"You think you are so slick? I know your secret and when my mother gets better I will tell his majesty" Ayse hissed angrily. Murad looked at Ayse, confused as the eighteen years old boy had no idea what his sister was saying.
"What are you talking about, Sultanim?" Firuze asked, confused. Firuze's hands began shaking and the two siblings noticed the change. Her eyes flickered behind them at something. Murad turned to see what she was looking at and was shocked to find his father and Yahya Effendi along with Osman beside his mother's bed, they must have used the second door to the side.
"Father" Murad whispered, earning Ayse's attention. She turned to check and her eyes widened when they met her father's eyes. . "Your majesty" Ayse, Firuze, and Murad bowed to Suleiman. He stepped closer to the three people in front of him. Yahya decided to check on Qamar with Osman by his side.
"What are you talking about, Ayse?" Suleiman asked his eldest daughter from Qamar. The brunette started twiddling with her fingers nervously while Firuze was glancing behind her at the doors with fear all over her face.
"Her tattoo, your majesty" Ayse answered in a whisper fearing her father's rage. What would he do? What will his reaction be?
"What about it?" Suleiman asked, confused. Murad slid his dagger back into its holder before his father could notice it. Suleiman would definitely be angry with him if he knew he had threatened his favorite with a dagger.
"Your majesty, I was curious about it and did some research and I found that it is a symbol of the Safavid royal family" Ayse answered. She felt the surge to protect her mother, there was a possibility her father would force them to let Firuze examine their mother, and for all, they knew she could give their mother poison instead of medicine.
"What?" Suleiman asked. Ayse took matters into her own hand and turned Firuze around before pushing her long and silky hair to the side to show the back of her neck where the tattoo sat proudly. Suleiman reached over and pushed down the material of the dress to show the tattoo.
"Guards" Suleiman called, causing Firuze to flinch. She came to gloat over Qamar's sickness but ended up in a situation where it could end up with her execution. Two harem aghas opened the doors and stepped in with their heads bowed to the Sultan.
"Take this traitor to the dungeon" Suleiman ordered, pushing Firuze into their arms. Ayse felt relief fill her body, her father believed her.
"Wait, your majesty, let me explain" Firuze called as the aghas wrapped their arms around hers and pulled her out of the room. Suleiman noticed the lack of her accusing Ayse of lying meaning this information was right.
"I apologize for not telling you sooner, mother got sick before I could and I did not want to burden you even more" Ayse lowered her voice as she spoke, her father definitely could not handle loud noises. Ayse was shocked when Suleiman turned around and pulled her in for a tight hug.
"Father" Ayse whispered. Suleiman pulled away after a couple of seconds before leaving the room, he could not handle this anymore. Osman moved away from the bed leaving Yahya alone to examine their mother and moved over to his younger sister while Murad was still staring into the distance trying to comprehend what had just happened.
"What in the world is going on?" Osman asked, wrapping his fingers around Ayse's arm. Ayse looked at her brother for a second seeing Abdullah in his expression and that broke. She hugged him tightly and the waterfalls began again. Osman hugged her back trying to comfort her.
