(My Mum was the one who suggested I turn this dream into a story. A bit of background: I was travelling to see my grandmother who was in Hospital. She lives in a small town, so she had to go to the hospital in a neighbouring town, meaning I was a town over at her place, not getting much time with her. My Mum suggested I stay at a motel down the street from the hospital, so I did, and this chapter is based on the dream I had while there)

Catching the Hogwarts Express to Hogwarts was a student's rite of passage, a few hours away from any parental figure, a couple hours of freedom, a time when students run wild and cause chaos without

I never got that. I was raised at Hogwarts by my Father Remus Lupin, and the professors at Hogwarts. I was in my fourth year when my dad came back into my life but he quickly had to go back into hiding. We visited often up until he died during my sixth year. I was a year out of Hogwarts when my father died in the battle of Hogwarts.

Since then, my friend Luna and I had been living in the Muggle world with Muggle jobs and muggle lives. I haven't been back since, but this year Headmistress McGonagall asked me to come back as a professor. I missed Auntie Minni and the others, so I agreed.

It was going to be an adjustment after three years away from magic to just dive back in when all the kids arrived so I thought for a night I would spend some time in the Wizarding. I booked a room at the Leaky Cauldron. I had never stayed anywhere by myself before sure I had travelled alone before but there was always someone on the other side waiting for me. I visited Dad at Grimmuld Place on my own, but he was there waiting.

But you don't need to know all this, your here to find out what happened that night, how everything change. The fear that rippled through the Wizarding World, it was so profound that even the Muggles seemed to feel it, people feared it was Voldemort returning.

I spent the day walking around Diagon Alley before heading to the Leaky Cauldron. Going up to my room nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

I unpacked my things getting changed and eating some dinner, my nerves were on edge. Though nothing seemed out of place and there was no reason for my nerves to be on edge but it still was. I curled up on the bed and read the story of The Three Brothers, one of my favorites as a kid.

I closed the book popping it on the nightstand as I curl up for bed. It was still awhile before I fell asleep.

The next morning when I woke, it was still early, too early to check out. Deciding to go for a walk I left with nothing but my wallet and the key, I even managed to forget my wand, I hadn't used it much for the last couple of years and when I did it never left the house.

I made my way to Flourish and Botts for a few last-minute books. See even though I haven't kept up with magic I have kept up with Herbology, I find our remedies better than muggles remedies. In fact, Herbology is the subject I'm going to be teaching. Professor Sprout wants to retire but she loves her plants too much to leave them in the care of just anyone, so Professor McGonagall suggested me and that Professor Sprout stay on till Christmas to show me how to care for her plants and assist me in lessons for the first couple months.

It will be good having her there as the current third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh years were there when I was a student. I don't know any of them but we would have passed each other in the halls once or twice so they might have less respect for me, and there for not listen to me.

Anyway after purchasing two more books I returned to the Leaky Cauldron. Upon arriving something wasn't right the whole place was in a panic, at first, I couldn't see what everyone was freaking out about until I spotted them.

There was a body sat at one of the tables face scratched, cold dead eyes seemingly staring into my soul and the other lay on the stair's same markings on his face as the first.

The whole room a panic as people try to grab their belongings and leave as quickly as possible. I make my way to the Bar where Tom stood looking panicked.

"Tom! What happened?" I ask

"I don't know, I served them each a drink then five minutes later Damien just dropped, Spencer got spooked started running like everyone else and just dropped. What if it was something in the drinks?" He rambled.

People just dropping dead? In the middle of a crowded space? That doesn't happen in the magical world while yes you can't usually tell who cast the spell there is still that famous flash of green as they die.

Then I noticed it, what felt like eyes burning holes in the back of my head. Flicking my eyes to a mirror there was a man, despite all the light in the room it seemed his whole face was hidden in a shadow.

Instead of running around frantically trying to get out he was walking slowly and calmly towards me. I bid farewell to Tom before heading in the direction of the stairs with the flow of people, it was easy to lose someone in that crowed besides my wand was in my room.

My heart was raising as I weaved myself in and out of the more crowded groups.

As I weaved, I managed to reach the top of the stairs. I slipped by heading for my room, I closed the door trying to lock it but I couldn't find my wand.

I started grabbing my things throwing them in bags as I scrambled to find my wand, I heard banging on the door as someone tried to bust in.

Just as they got the door unlocked, I jumped to the door trying to hold it shut, I fought with the person on the other end trying to open it. There was a kafuffle on the other side and the door gave in suddenly and slammed shut.

After that silence. I listened for a little bit longer before grabbing my bag finally finding my wand in the bathroom. I quickly made my way out of the room and down to where the innkeeper was and handed him the key before heading out.
