(Harry's P.O.V)

Hermione and I were returning to rescue the others when they came running up to us. Y/n flung her arms around me, and I returned the hug as she stumbled. I could see that the torture had affected her.

I wasn't sure whether Professor Snape understood what I had tried to tell him. I couldn't risk his not understanding, so we decided to take matters into our own hands and save Sirius.

We couldn't use the floo and we didn't have enough brooms so Luna suggested we take the Thestrals, only problem was not many of us could see them, so we had to help each other.

I tried to convince Y/n that she should stay behind and that she wasn't in the state to go but she reminded me that Sirius was her father, and she wasn't going to sit around not know if he was okay or not. I reluctantly agreed as we made our way back to the forest.

 We got on the thestrals and flew to London, where we used the visitor's entrance to get into the Ministry. We made our way down till we found the Department of Mysteries in the basement of the ministry.

We made our way through the department, trying to find Sirius, but when we finally found the opening I had seen in my dream, there was no sign of him or anyone else. As we split up, our attention was drawn to Neville as he called over that one of the orbs on the shelves had my name on it. I picked it up trying to work out what it was, the fog in the ball started to clear but I didn't get to see what was on it when Lucius, Bellatrix and a number of other death eaters appeared.

A battle between light and dark begun.

Spells flew everywhere, we got separated as we ran heading for the door we entered through. I held tight onto Y/n's hand as we ran not wanting to lose her.

---time skip---

We all jumped through the door and started to fall. We feel for a couple minutes but when we got close to the ground we stopped. Just before hitting the floor, we froze in the air before dropping again

We were in a new room with nothing but an arch way, the arch seemed to have a vail of fog running through it, I could hear whispering as if something within was calling out to me. Luna and I seem to be the only ones that could hear it.

As we moved closer trying to make out what they were saying, black smoke came down from above, death eaters weaving between us I dropped to the ground, but Y/n's hand slipped from mine. When the smoke dissipated I looked around.

My friends were being held by death eaters, wands pressed to their necks. I got up to come face to face with Lucius Malfoy.

He once again tried to get me to hand over the prophecy, looking around at my friends I didn't want to give up the prophecy but my friends were in danger. Just as I handed Lucius the prophecy Sirius appeared behind Lucius who turned surprised.

"Get away from my god son." Sirius said as he punched him.

Lucius dropped the Prophecy and it smashed. Just then the other Order members begun to arrive.

A battle ensued between the Death Eaters and the Order. My friends ducked behind a rock as spells flew. Y/n grabbed her wand from the floor and ran to myside as Sirius stood in front of us.

We stood beside Sirius fighting Lucius until Bellatrix attacked. We hadn't seen her she had apparated to a ledge up above, we didn't see the spell till it hit. Sirius stumbled back his eyes went dead as they stared at us as he fell into the arch way.

Before I even registered what had happened Remus had run up grabbing hold on to me as I started to scream, I could see Remus try to reach for Y/n as well, but she had already run forward, but it was too late Sirius was gone.

Y/n fell to the ground, our screams echos through the room. I could barely make out Bellatrix taunting laughs through our screams.

I broke free from Remus' grasp as I ran after her.
