Chapter 55

"Eh, what have they done here then, set the house on fire?" Mark and Sam pulled up in the driveway. Sam got out and ran inside. "GARY!" She called. No answer. She ran into the bedroom and there he was. With Chloe. Awfully close to Chloe. Lying on top of Chloe. Was he..... "Gary!" She screamed. "Sam, help her! She just collapsed" Gary puffed. Rob entered the room with Mark. "I've called an ambulance, they're on their way" Rob puffed.

"What the fuck happened!?" Sam screamed. "We dunno, there was smoke coming out of the fuse box, the lights turned off. There is a whole patch of burnt garden right next to the window. I have no fucking clue" Rob ran his hands through his hair as he knelt beside Chloe.

2 hours later

Sam had just got off the phone with Leslie. She was sending around Nichols replacement. Chloe had been taken to hospital unconscious and Rob went with her. Mark was with Gary having a little chat and Sam was waiting in the kitchen for the new arrival.

There was a soft knock at the door and Sam ran to it. She opened the door to a young, dare she say it, attractive female. "Hi" she stuck her hand out. "I'm Ellie, I'm here to replace Nichols" she smiled. "But your a woman! A girl!" Sam protested. "I assure you, I'm good at what I do, now show me around the place. I need to know the perimeter." Sam stepped back as she marched in the door.

"Where is my new boss?" Ellie asked. Sam just pointed the way towards Gary's room. She was so, confident and controlling. Mark and Gary stopped their conversation as Ellie entered the room. They sat there looking between them and back to her. "Who are you?" Gary deadpanned. "Meet Ellie, Nichols replacement" Sam answered, appearing at her side. Gary looked from Sam to Ellie with raised eyebrows.

"Are you kidding me! She's like 12" Mark argued. "15 actually" Ellie shrugged. "What the hell is Leslie doing! Sending a kid. The last one died for gods sake!" Gary yelled. "I'll have you know I'm better than him. If this was my op in the first place you wouldn't have been kidnapped and raped and burnt and god knows what else for a second time! I would not have missed when I shot him!" Ellie glared at Gary.
