Gary's pov

"He's not here Gary" Ellie sighs as I watch her through the screen. He long hair is tied up in a high pony blowing in the wind. "What do you do now?" I swallow nervously, I thought they'd get him for sure. "We wait, see if he comes back. Look at other places he might be. We would normally put out a BOLO but it's to risky in this case. He'd just run" she shakes her head in disappointment. "Okay" I say softly and nod my head. "I'm coming back to you now. It's unlikely, but he might try to come at you personally" Ellie says and the link cuts off.

Right then. I head back out to the others and sit down. They all look at me expectantly. "He's not there" I whisper. "Maybe it's best if you all head home. Ellie said he might try come here now everyone is there. I don't want any of you to get hurt, especially you Chloe." I mumble. "We're not going anywhere Gaz" Rob says. "What?" I ask, raising an eyebrow. "He's right Gaz, were not leaving you" Howard backs him up. "Yeah you need us. There are hardly any cops here now, you need our Kung fu skills" Jay strikes a pose in the middle of the room. "Yeah, and I can sneak up behind him and kick him in the balls cos I can't get my leg any higher" Mark says, dead serious. "Your all nuts!" I laugh. "But really Gary, none of us are going anywhere, because he's already here." Chloe whispers, looking out the window, locked in a staring match with him.

Ellie's pov

We are going to slow, what is the hold up!? Slowly our car begins to drop speed until we come to a standstill on the motor way. Eh? I pick up the incar radio and hold it near my mouth. "Report?" I demand but get no reply. God I'm sick of this! I reach for my phone and call Leslie. "I need a helicopter" I deadpan when she answers. "What?" She gasps. "You heard, I need a helicopter. Now! There is a field large enough to land at right near me, I'm stuck in traffic" I whine. "Your not having a helicopter because your stuck in traffic!" I can tell she's shaking her head, she always does. "Listen, I can't get hold of anyone at the safe house, I guess this traffic is going to delay us 45 minutes to an hour. We don't know his location, I need to get back!" I plea to her. "Fine, go wait in the clearing, I'll send another team from here to the house as well. Your helicopter will be about 5 minutes" she hangs up and throw open the car door, weaving between the cars until I reach the side of the road.

I sit in the grass and wait for the helicopter. I hope he's alright. I cross my legs and start pulling the grass from the earth. This really brings back memories of hanging with my friends, fire drills at school. Now that seems like a world away. I'm pulled out of my thoughts as I hear the chopper above me. I groan as I see it lower, dropping a cord for me. Have I mentioned I don't like heights? I harness myself in then I'm wrenched up into the sky. Ehhh! I feel relieved as I'm finally pulled into the chopper. I look down to see out car has moved about an inch. Yep, this is the right decision.

The flight to the safe house take minutes and soon I find myself being lowered to the ground in the back garden. Guess the pilot was to expensive to land. Oh well.

As I hit the ground I instantly notice something's wrong, there's no one to greet me. Cautiously, I unbuckle my gun holster and head to the back door. Oh no. There a blood spatter consistent with a gunshot against the white door. No no no. I pull out my gun, holding it in front of me. Heading into the living room I notice overturned furniture. And a lifeless body.
