For instance, Chan in this chapter asks what a word means over text, and he texts it in Korean. But you guys don't know the word until he texts it. So, I bolded it so you guys know it's in Korean, and won't get confused that he wrote it in English and is asking for the Korean translation.

It's our baby boy Lixie's birthday today, so here's another chapter❤️

I'm feeling a lot better today. Between my mother and sister (one's a nurse and one's a nursing student), they both probably had me take 10 pills each. EACH. I was wondering if they were about to overdose me, my god 😂 but I don't have a fever or headache anymore and I've actually stayed awake for probably 3 hours now, which is nice. I just have a sore throat~ I'm doing great~

I ignored Chan the entire time that the alpha tried to talk me out of interviewing for jobs so soon. He sat beside me in a library as I squinted as the Korean writing on a computer screen, watching as I scrolled slowly through job ads as I struggled to read the Korean quickly.

"Babe." He mumbled, pouting at me. "I'm serious, love. Just stay unemployed for a bit. We'll take care of you. I know you're ready to jump in and get your dream job, and I understand that. But you just finished school. Take a bit of a break, okay?" He said as he leaned forward in his chair and gently grabbed my thigh. "I don't want you to worry about this and rush yourself into a position you don't like."

"I don't want to rely on you to take care of me. I'm a grown adult. I can care for myself."

"Just because you can doesn't mean you have to." He said with a sigh. "Please, baby. Don't worry about this."

"I need to pay my bills somehow, hyung."

"And I'm saying we'll pay them for you. It's not a big deal, love. We make a lot of money."

"And I already told you I don't want to rely on you." I said as I paused my scrolling to turn in my chair and look at him. "I'm not with you because you're well off, hyung. I'm with you because I like you. And I'm tired of you guys spending your money on me."

"What we do with our money is our own business. And if I want to blow my paycheck on my beautiful mate, then that's my choice." He grumbled stubbornly. "I want you to take some time off, regardless. Rather than looking for a job, why don't you schedule a flight to go home and see your parents? You can worry about a job when you come home."

I glared at him, but the alpha's mind seemed set. And no amount of glaring from me was going to change that. I huffed at him, before I got up from my chair and placed my knee between his legs as I leaned over him in his own chair. I laid one hand on the back of the chair next to his shoulder, before I leaned in close to him.
