I put Mpreg in the tags, but idk if it's actually gonna be here or not. Just saying. I'm keeping it there for now just in case, but I haven't decided the direction this story is going to go yet. Just warning you.

That next day, I had another shift with Chan. And to say that I was dreading it would be an understatement.

But, as usual, I walked into work as nonchalantly as I could, quickly changed, and went to the floor. Only to find that Chan was already there, wiping down some of the stations.

"Hey." He mumbled simply as he sprayed the counter.

"H-Hey..." I mumbled back. "What are you doing...?"

"Night crew slacked on clean up. I came in and it was a mess in here." He said, before he motioned towards the cleaning supplies. "Mind helping me?"

"Oh...no." I mumbled, quickly going to grab a rag and spray to use.

In a matter of a few minutes, we had the counters cleaned off pretty well. Today, it would just be us working together. Generally our little shop had three people working, but today, our third coworker had to call in and there was no one to take their place. So Chan and I would probably be rushing today to fill orders.

Goodie.

But, I didn't mind. I did enjoy making the drinks, so it wasn't too bad. Though time limits did make me nervous about potentially messing things up.

"Thanks." Chan mumbled, leaning up against the counter and pulling out his phone with a little huff. We still had about ten minutes before opening, so I didn't say anything. If he wanted to play on his phone right before the shift, then that's fine.

At least, I thought so, until I heard him speak.

"What's wrong, babe?"

I tensed up when I heard his words, and looked back at him. He was staring off into space as he held his phone up to his ear, showing me that he was on the phone.

"Oh shit, did I?" He asked, frowning. "Can you bring it to me? Okay. Thank you."

Then, he hung up with the person he was talking to. I swallowed thickly, giving him the side eye a bit.

"Is everything okay?" I asked softly, looking up at the alpha nervously.

"Yes." He said, pocketing his phone. "I just forgot to bring my inhaler. I took it out of my bag last night."

"Your inhaler?" I asked, frowning a little as I tried to think of what that meant in Korean.

"Yeah. I have asthma. It's not that bad now as I've gotten older, but it's still good to be safe rather than sorry."

"Asthma?" I mumbled, scrunching my nose a little as I sounded the word out.

He smiled, looking confused. "Something wrong?"

"Uh...no. Sorry, Korean...isn't my first language, so...I'm not the best with all words. I don't know what 'inhaler' or 'asthma' is." I mumbled, looking at him sheepishly.

"Korean isn't your first language?" He asked with a frown. "Where are you from?"

"Australia."

"Austr--" Chan's eyes widened, before he suddenly switched to English. "You're from Australia?"

"Yeah...?" I mumbled, furrowing my brows when I heard a heavy Australian accent coming from him.

"Where?"
