TW Blood, injury

"I'm so sorry," Josie whispers over and over again, as if the words can change something, anything.

Her aunt lies there, gasping from the pain.

Because of her.

Because she decided she wanted to save everyone instead of minding her own fucking business.

The Death Eaters who have grabbed her to stop her from going to her aunt tighten their grip on her arms. Josie winces.

At least they aren't touching the wound on her arm, just above it.

Fuck, it hurts.

The throbbing is intense, and every shift sends another wave of pain through her.

Her aunt, at least, seems to have a better grasp of getting herself together after the torture curse.

It seems she is used to it.

Their parents must have used it on them.

Her aunt is glaring at Tom, only letting her eyes shift to check on Josie.

Tom lets out another sigh before looking at Josephine. "We'll have another talk soon." Then he looks to the Death Eaters near her and Nyla. "Take them to the dungeons."

Neither of them fights.

Josephine feels too tired to even think about a plan.

The Death Eater behind her is replaced by another.

Marcus. Marcus smirks cruelly as he grabs her arm, forcing her to her feet. Her aunt is made to do the same.

They are forced to walk out of the dining room. The hallways are dark, with paintings lining the walls. Her aunt is in front of her, also being dragged by two masked Death Eaters.

Josie only has Marcus dragging her.

Merlin, her body hurts with every step.

Marcus slides his hand further down Josephine's right arm to the wound and applies pressure as the door shuts behind them. A sharp whimper escapes her lips, mingling with a sob as she forces herself to keep moving.

With a sinister smile, Marcus slowly moves his hand back up her arm.

"You can't fight back now, can you?" he taunts in a hushed voice.

"I'm going to kill you," Josephine responds, her voice devoid of any emotion.

Marcus scoffs at her threat. "I doubt you'll last long enough to follow through on that."

She glares at him, her footsteps slow, yet he forces her to keep moving.

Soon, her aunt is being shoved into a room, and Marcus drags Josephine in behind her.
