Today they were back at the doctor's office. Today's the day of the procedure. Kara was lying back on the exam table ready for the doctor to arrive. "Nervous?" Lena asked. "Only a little." Kara replied. "Relax darling. I'll be right here with you the entire time." Lena replied. A few minutes later the doctor came in and readied to do the procedure. "Ready Kara?" The doctor asked. "Yes." Kara replied. "Ok! Let's get started!" The doctor said.
Thirty minutes later Kara was lying on the bed with her legs on a special pillow. "This better work the first time around...cause this pillow is very uncomfortable!" Kara groaned. "Just relax love, we'll be going home soon. Then you can lay on a custom leg pillow." Lena replied. "I can't wait." Kara replied. "So how do you feel?" Lena asked. "It felt weird going in...but now I feel ok." Kara replied. "I can only imagine..." Lena replied.
Another ten minutes went by before the doctor came back alerting them that they could go home. "And remember that she needs to lay with her legs upon the pillow for another two hours today." The doctor said. "But she's ok to sit up in the car?" Lena asked. "Yes. She'll be perfectly fine sitting for the short ride." The doctor stated. "Ok! Let's get you in the wheelchair then Kar and we'll go home." Lena said.
The ride home was short and soon Kara was in bed with her legs on the new pillow. "Comfortable?" Lena asked. "Not really...but it's better than the other one. Can you get me my tablet? I'll lay here and watch some Netflix or something." Kara replied. "Sure darling." Lena replied with a smile. Lena went over and grab the tablet off the bedside table and handed it to Kara. "I'm gonna go start some lunch. Anything in particular you want?" Lena asked. "Hmmm maybe a sandwich or something." Kara replied. "One turkey sandwich coming up, with extra everything!" Lena replied.
