After doing some shopping Eve and Kara headed to a nearby cafe for lunch. "So how are you and Lena doing now that Morgan's not keeping you up all night?" Eve asked. "We're doin really well, even with me working from home now. Lena comes home every night at five unless there's a late meeting or something, but then she calls me to let me know whats happening." Kara replied. "That's great...Lex..he works late nights most of the time now..and our boys are all away at boarding school so it's just me at the house now. Me..and our staff." Eve said. "I'm sorry Eve. Does Lex at least call you when he's running late?" Kara asked. "Sometimes he does..sometimes he doesn't." Eve replied. "Want me to sick Lena on to him? Get her to give him a talking to?" Kara offered.
Eve smiled but shook her head as the waitress brought over their food. "So do you have any new articles you're working on?" Eve asked. "A few...mostly puff pieces but it keeps me busy while Morgan naps." Kara replied. "I should probably find a hobby...instead of shopping all the time." Eve replied chuckling. "What do you like to do? Besides shopping?" Kara asked. "I like reading...but I've read everything in our library...twice." Eve replied. "Well there you go! Buy some new books Eve add them to your library." Kara suggested.
After finishing up lunch Eve paid for their meals and followed Kara to the car. "Thank you for coming with me Kara." Eve said as the arrived back at the lake house. "Anytime Eve! I had fun today!" Kara replied as they grabbed bags and walked inside together. Lena was the first to see them as she walked over to take Kara's bags from her. "Did you have fun love?" Lena asked. "Yes I did. What's Morgan up to?" Kara asked. "She's upstairs with Eliza, she's putting her down for a nap." Lena replied. "Thanks for letting me borrow your wife Lena." Eve said with a smile. "Anytime Eve!" Lena replied with a smile.
After parting Kara and Lena walked upstairs so Kara could put her things away. "Lee...I've got something to talk to you about...but I don't want you to say that I told you this." Kara said. "I'm listening." Lena said as she sat down on the bed. "Eve told me that Lex works a lot of late hours now..and barely spends any time with her. She wouldn't say it...but I can tell it bothers her." Kara explained. "Want me to talk to him?" Lena asked. "Eve said no, but I don't think it would hurt...maybe have a little sibling talk later today or something. Get him down by the lake away from everyone or something." Kara suggested. Lena nodded. "I can do that, and don't worry..I won't bring you telling me up." Lena replied. "Thank you Lee." Kara replied with a smile.
