Over the next few days the news of Mike and Jame's suicide had died down. It also helped that everyone called them to just check in. Kara had finally settled down enough to watch the news again after Lena went to work. Today was Friday and that meant Lena would be home earlier than the rest of the week. Right now Kara was sitting on the floor next to where Morgan was laying gently shaking a rattle at her. Morgan was blowing raspberries in response to her mommy's antics. "Who's my big girl? You are! That's right darling, you are my big girl! Mommy's big girl!" Kara cooed.
Lena was just opening the door during this moment. She paused to take in the moment. Morgan was wiggling her arms about as Kara cooed at her. Slowly and silently she took her phone out and recorded the moment, before clearing her throat and alerting them to her presence. Blue eyes snapped up at her quickly before they returned to Morgan. "Look bug, momma's home!" Kara cooed. "Hey my beautiful girls! Are you and mommy having fun?" Lena asked as she sat her bag down. "Yes we are. How was your day love?" Kara asked as she stood up and walked over to her wife taking her into a hug.
"It was boring as usual. I had to deal with business meetings all day. And boy did I miss you two!" Lena said. "Well we missed you too darling! I've got chicken out, and I thought I'd make some stir fry." Kara replied. "That sounds nice. Morgan? Have you been a good girl for mommy?" Lena asked as she squatted down to pick her up. "Say yes momma, I've been the bestest girl in the whole universe!" Kara added. Lena sat down on the sofa next to Kara, still holding Morgan in her arms.
"So..mom called me today." Lena said. "Oh? What did she have to talk about?" Kara asked. "She wanted to know what we were planning on doing for our vacation this summer." Lena said. "What do you want to do Lee?" Kara asked. "Well she suggested we all get together for a family barbecue at our family's lake house." Lena replied. Kara looked at her wife then back at their daughter before responding. "Where is it? How long would it take to get there?" Kara asked. "It's in the mountains just outside Metropolis, we'd all go by private jet. All of us, Alex, Sam, Eliza, all of us. We'd stay all vacation." Lena replied.
"I...I think that would be nice." Kara replied. "Really?" Lena asked. "Yes." Kara replied with a smile. "Ok! I'll call everyone tomorrow morning. Right now...I'm gonna go take this munchkin upstairs, change her diaper and change into something more comfortable." Lena said as she stood up and headed upstairs.
