The Confession Part 3

Tobin's P.O.V.

I let Thalia get back to her show and went to put my snacks in the cupboard. My phone buzzed, and I saw that it was a text from Hope.

From: Badass Goalie: Hey, Tobs. Can you come over to my place? I need to chat with you.

To: Badass Goalie: Sure. I'll be over in a few.

I walked to Hope and Carli's house and rang the doorbell. Hope answered the door. "C'mon in, Tobs." she said. I came in, and we sat down in the living room, facing each other. "So, what's this about?" I asked. Hope sighed, her bright blue eyes staring into mine. "Tobin, Thalia hasn't had the best childhood ever." she said. "Her parents were murdered when she was eight, and the people who did it also burned her house to the ground. She escaped with her computer, her sketchbook, and her art supplies. She was sent to an orphanage where the kids were used as slave labor and beaten when they complained. She ran away when she was thirteen, and lived in an abandoned warehouse that had been converted into a living space. And you know that she got bullied at school." "What are you trying to say, Hope?" I asked. "What I'm saying is that if you break her heart, I will kill you." Hope said. "She's been through enough in her life, now she just deserves to find love and settle down." "Shouldn't Abby be the one giving me this talk?" I asked. "Thalia and I are pretty much soul sisters." Hope said. "But that's a good point. If you break Thalia's heart, Abby and I will both kill you." "Relax, Hope." I said. "I love the Squirt. I'm not going to break her heart." "Good." Hope said. "Can I go now?" I asked. "Sure." Hope said. "I just wanted to make sure you were aware of the consequences for breaking Thalia's heart." "I am now aware." I said, heading back to my house. "So, what did the Badass Goalie want?" Thalia asked as I walked in the door. "She just wanted to let me know that if I broke your heart, she and Abby would kill me." I said. "What did you tell her?" Thalia asked. I sat down next to the small, raven-haired woman and put my arm around her shoulders. "I told her I'd never break your heart." I said. She snuggled closer to me. "I love you, Tobin." she said. "I love you too, Thalia." I said.
