When Abby Wambach woke up one morning, she knew something wasn't right. She was a sloth. "Abby?" Cap asked. "What?" Abby said, looking over in the direction of her roommate. "You're a sloth." Cap said. "And you're a chipmunk." Abby replied. "Let's go get breakfast." Cap jumped onto Abby's shoulder, and Abby walked out into the hallway. "Hey, guys!" Pinoe's voice said, which seemed to be coming from a small, yellow, mouse-like creature. "Who are you?" Cap asked. "Pika! I mean, Pinoe!" the mouse-like creature said. "And what are you, exactly?" Abby asked. "A pikachu!" Pinoe said. "Hey, guys!" Syd barked as a chihuahua walked up next to Pinoe. "What's up?" "What the hell is going on here?" Hope the cougar asked as she and Carli, who was a deer, walked out of their room. "We've been changed into our spirit animals, I think." JJ the yellow lab said, walking out of her room with Press the flying squirrel perched on top of her head. Arod the Persian cat and Cheney the giant panda walked out of their room at the same time as Moe the koala and Kling the eagle. Moe immediately walked over to Cheney and clung to her. "Moe, I'm offended!" Kling said. "Well, I can't hold onto you that well!" Moe protested. "You're too small!" "Whatever." Kling said, perching on Cheney's shoulder. "HAO! Squirrel buddy!" Kelly said, as she and Alex walked out of their room at the same time as HAO and Crystal, who was a fox. Pinoe and Syd took one look at Alex the horse, and burst out laughing. "Oh my god, this is great!" Pinoe said. "Baby Horse!" Syd cried. "Guys, it's not that funny." Alex said, rolling her large eyes. "Hey, guys." Tobin said, walking out of her room as a wolf, with Thalia, who was also a wolf, pressed up to her side. "Are we missing anyone?" Abby asked. "Krashlyn, Alyssa and Chups, and Becky." KO said from her perch on top of Carli's head. "We're here." Ali the German shepard said, walking out next to Ash the golden retriever. "So am I." Becky the owl said, perching on Alex. "We're here." Chups the red panda said, standing on the shoulders of Alyssa the bull. "Guys, this is cool and all, but we need to find a way to change back." Hope said. "We've got a match coming up, and we can't play like this." "I'll see what I can find." Thalia said. She disappeared into her room, and about five minutes later, there was a flash of light, and everyone returned to normal. "It worked!" Thalia said, coming out. "Awwww, but I liked being a pikachu!" Pinoe complained. Thalia laughed. "Don't worry, Pinoe." she said, pulling up the sleeve of the midfielder's training shirt to reveal a small circular tattoo with a dot in the middle. "If you press that, you can change in and out of a pikachu at will." "Yay!" Pinoe said. "Just not during games." Abby reminded her. "Or practices." Cap added. "Or conditioning." "Yes, ma'ams." Pinoe said.
