The team was gathering at the Lodge in upstate New York, where our training camps had been held. Tobin and I went a little earlier than the rest. Tobin wouldn't tell me why, though. "Hey, baby girl." she said. "Let's go up the Table Rock trail." "Okay." I said. We walked up the hill to the flat spot on the top of the mountain. "Remember?" Tobin asked. "It was on your Table Lookout back home that I first told you I loved you." I laughed. "Someone's getting nostalgic." I said. "And how could I forget?" suddenly, Tobin grabbed my shoulders, looking into my eyes. "Thalia, we've been dating for three years now." she said. "It was here on this trail that we met, and it was a place exactly like this where we started dating. We've been through Olympics and World Cups together, and I've survived crazy teammates and Abby's horrible jokes with you by my side." she got down on one knee, taking a small black box from her sweatshirt pocket. "I feel like this is an appropriate time to do this, so Thalia Galadriel Skywalker, will you marry me?" she asked. "Yes!" I said. "Of course!" Tobin grinned and kissed me, slipping the ring onto my finger. for the first time, I got a good look at it. It was gold, twisted into a Celtic knot design, and resting on top of my finger were three tiny triangular emeralds forming a familiar symbol. "You put the triforce on my ring!" I exclaimed. Tobin laughed. "I was wondering how long it'd take you to notice." she said. "Zelda got us together, and I wanted it to be the thing that made us stay together." "You are so sweet." I said, kissing Tobin again. "So tell me: are we getting married with portals?" Tobin laughed again. "Actually, we should do that!" she said. I laughed too. "We are the ultimate nerdy couple." I said. "Yup!" Tobin said. The next day, the rest of the team arrived, and we had a nice gathering with drinks and all. I was chatting with Moe, Kling, JJ, and Press when Syd came up to me and draped her arm around my shoulders. "So, when's my OTP getting engaged?" she asked. "Well, actually..." I said, raising my left hand so they could all see the band of gold shining on my ring finger. "Oh my god!" Syd yelled. "When did this happen?! Where did it happen?! How did it happen?! I need details!" I laughed. "It happened yesterday up on Table Lookout." I said. "Tobin and I came a couple days earlier than you all, and we went up on Table Lookout, and Tobin got all nostalgic because she told me she loved me on Table Lookout in Breckenridge, and she grabbed my shoulders and said 'Thalia, we've been dating for three years now. It was here on this trail that we met, and it was a place exactly like this where we started dating. We've been through Olympics and World Cups together, and I've survived crazy teammates and Abby's horrible jokes with you by my side. I feel like this is an appropriate time to do this, so Thalia Galadriel Skywalker, will you marry me?'" "Oh my god that is so sweet!" Pressy said. "Let me see the ring!" I held up my hand so they could inspect the ring more closely. "Why did Tobin put the Illuminati on your ring?" Kling asked. I laughed. "It's not the Illuminati, it's the Triforce from the Legend of Zelda game series." I explained. "Tobin and I bonded over Zelda, so Tobin put the Triforce on my ring." "Well, congrats." JJ said. "Thanks!" I said. "When's the wedding?" Moe asked. "Dear jeez, Moe!" I said. "We just got engaged! Give us time to figure stuff out! But when we do get married, we'll make sure the whole team's invited." "Good." Kling said. "Well, good luck to you and Tobin." "What's going on?" Tobin asked, coming up behind me and putting her arms around my waist. "Oh, hey Tobin." I said. "I just finished telling them about our engagement, and Kling was wishing us good luck." "Oh. Thanks, Kling!" Tobin said. Kling laughed. "No problem." she said. Tobin kissed my cheek. "Love you, baby girl." she said. "Love you too, Tobin." I said.

The picture above is the Triforce. It is not the Illuminati. There is a difference.
