"Hey, Thalia." Tobin said. "How about a beach date tomorrow night?" "Sure." I said. "Great!" Tobin said, grinning. "Dress casual. I'm gonna go plan. See ya." "Bye!" I said. As soon as Tobin left, I texted my friends Hannah and Jordyn, who were dating Moe and JJ, respectively, to meet me in my room. "What's up?" Hannah asked as she and Jordyn walked in. "Tobin's taking me on a beach date tomorrow night." I said. "That's great!" Jordyn said. "But I'm nervous!" I said. "What do I wear? Do I wear makeup? What do I do with my hair?" "Whoa, chill." Hannah said. "First, do you wanna look gay or straight?" "Uhhhhhhh, how about bi, cuz that's what I am?" I asked. "Kinda tomboyish." "Okay..." Jordyn said, studying me. "How about black leggings, a loose grey shirt, and black sandals?" "Sounds great." I said. "Any makeup?" "A little black eyeliner." Hannah said. "Yeah." Jordyn said. "And straight hair. Do you have a SnapBack?" "I think I packed my Attack on Titan one." I said, looking through my closet and pulling out a black snapback with the wings of freedom on it. "Perfect." Hannah said. "Tobin's gonna have a hard time keeping her hands to herself." Jordyn said, smirking. "Thanks guys." "No problem." Hannah said. "You can change in our room." "Alright." I said. "Will do." the next evening, I took my clothes and stuff and went across the hall to Hannah and Jordyn's room. I got dressed, and Hannah did my eyeliner while Jordyn straightened my hair. I went across to our room and knocked on the door. "Tobs?" I asked. "You ready?" "Sure thing." Tobin said, coming out and taking my hand. "Let's go, babe." she noticed my SnapBack and raised an eyebrow. "Trying to steal my style, eh Skywalker?" she asked. "Not stealing, borrowing." I said. "Well, I'll let it fly just this once because you look hot." Tobin said. "How do I look?" she was wearing a light blue button-down shirt with black skinny jeans, black vans, and a Legend of Zelda SnapBack. "Sexy." I said. Tobin smirked. "Good." she said. We drove to the beach, where there was a blanket set up with candles and a picnic basket. "A romantic but casual night on the beach." Tobin said, grinning broadly. "I love it." I said. "And I love you. Wait, what's that?" I ran towards the surf. "Baby girl, wait!" Tobin called. I bent down, picked something off of the sand, and came back holding it. "Sorry, Toby." I said. "I've just always wanted to find one of these!" in my hands was a large white spiral shell with reddish-brown tiger stripes on it. "Woah, cool!" Tobin said. "It's a nautilus shell!" I said excitedly. "They're really really rare! I can't believe I found one!" "It's amazing." Tobin said. "Well you can't have it." I said playfully, holding the shell to my chest. "It's mine." Tobin chuckled. "Okay, baby girl." she said. "Let's eat." we sat down on the blanket and Tobin pulled out sandwiches, cherries, and chocolate covered strawberries. We ate, then sat watching the sunset. "Wow." I said, gazing in awe as the setting sun painted the sky with crimson, orange, and gold. "It's beautiful." Tobin said softly. "Just like you." I blushed. "You're more beautiful." I said. "No, you are." Tobin said. "No I'm not." I said. "I'm ordinary. Just a normal soccer-playing nerd. You're stunning." "You are amazing, Thalia." Tobin said, looking me in the eye. "You are the most beautiful and amazing girl out there." I blushed harder. "I love you, Thalia." Tobin said. "I love you too, Toby." I said. Tobin leaned down and kissed me. I closed my eyes and leaned into the kiss. We broke apart and turned back to the sunset. I tried to snuggle closer to Tobin's warm side. "What's the matter, baby girl?" Tobin asked. "I'm cold, Toby." I whined. "Here." Tobin said, wrapping a blanket around the both of us. "It didn't work." I said after a few minutes. "I'm still cold." "Come sit in my lap." Tobin said. I did as I was told, and Tobin wrapped her arms and the blanket around me. "Better?" she asked. "Much better." I said. I took a small box out of my pocket. It contained a gold bracelet that read: May the Force be with you. I clasped it around Tobin's wrist. "What are you doing with my wrist?" Tobin asked suspiciously. She put her chin on my shoulder and raised her wrist to look at it. "You got this for me?" she asked. I nodded. "It's beautiful!" Tobin said. "I love it! I have something for you too. Get off real quick." I got off her lap, and Tobin took my hands and looked into my eyes. "Thalia, we've been dating for six months now." she said. "you're my world, my everything. you keep me grounded, and I love you so much." she got down on one knee and took a box out of her pocket. "This isn't a proposal, it's a promise." she said. "A promise that one day, we will get married and be together forever. Will you accept this promise?" "Of course!" I cried. "Of course I will, you dork!" Tobin grinned and took a ring on a chain out of the box, clasping it around my neck. "I love you, Tobin Powell Heath." I said. "And I love you, Thalia Galadriel Skywalker." Tobin said, kissing me.
Pictured above is the ring that Tobin gave Thalia. I love Star Wars. Sue me.
