I was a werewolf. No one knew except for my wolf-sisters, Abby Wambach and Hope Solo. Not even my girlfriend, Tobin Heath, knew. Abby and Hope had it easier than I did. They were older werewolves, and the older a werewolf gets, the less they crave blood. I was still a young werewolf, though, so I craved blood every full moon. On the night of the full moon, Abby and Hope would chain me securely to the wall so I wouldn't hurt them or go on a rampage. I'd always kept my condition a secret, but tonight, the night of the full moon, I was going to tell Tobin about it. "Tobin." I said nervously. "Yeah, baby girl?" Tobin asked. "I have a confession to make." I said. "You...you probably won't be able to look at me the same after I tell you this. You might want to leave me, and I don't blame you." Tobin put her arm around my shoulders. "You can tell me anything, Thalia. I won't judge you for it." "Alright, then." I said. "Here goes. I'm a werewolf." I expected Tobin to push me away, to call me a freak, but she didn't. Instead, she pulled me closer. "I won't leave you." she said. "No matter what." "Thanks, Tobs." I said. I felt a sharp pain in my gut, my wolf trying to get free. "Shit." I said. "Tobin, I've gotta go. Quick. It's the full moon, and my wolf side's trying to take over." "I'm going with you." Tobin said. "Alright." I said. "But I warn you, it's not pretty." Tobin and I ran to Abby's house, and I led Tobin down the basement. Abby and Hope were waiting, and Hope guided me to the wall and cuffed me down while Abby explained everything to Tobin.
Tobin's P.O.V.
Hope guided Thalia to the wall and locked heavy iron cuffs around her wrists and ankles. "Why is Hope doing that?" I asked. "At a full moon, a young werewolf craves blood." Abby explained. "We cuff her to the wall so she doesn't hurt either of us or go on a rampage." "Are you and Hope werewolves too?" I asked. Abby nodded. "We're older, though, so we don't crave blood, we just crave meat cooked really rare. It's safe to be around us, I promise." she said. I nodded. Hope finished chaining Thalia to the wall, and backed up hurriedly. "She's starting." she said. Thalia let out a blood chilling scream of pain as her bones began to pop out of place. Seeing her in so much agony made something inside me shatter, and I went forward. No! Abby's voice sounded in my head. She and Hope had morphed into wolves, and each of them was gripping one of my pant legs with their teeth. It's not safe. Hope said. She'll attack you if you get too close. I nodded and backed away. Thalia finished changing, and a small black wolf with dark blue eyes stood in her place. The wolf threw back its head and let out a spine-tingling howl. The hair on my neck stood on end. "Am I gonna have to chain her to the wall every full moon for the rest of her life?" I asked. We'll take care of that until she's eighteen. Abby said. That's when she changes from a pup to an adult. When she's an adult, she doesn't crave blood anymore. "Good." I said. You should get some sleep, Tobin. Hope said. We'll keep watch down here. You can crash on the couch, or in Thalia's room. Thalia will be back to normal in the morning. "Alright." I said. "Good night, guys." Night, tobin. Abby said. I walked upstairs, laid down on Thalia's bed, and fell asleep. When I woke up, Thalia was lying next to me. "Good morning, baby girl." I said. "Good morning, Tobin." Thalia said. She sounded nervous. "Hey. Look at me." I said. "I see you for what you are now, and I love you for it. I won't ever leave you. Do you hear me?" Thalia nodded. "I love you, Tobin." she said. "I love you too, baby girl." I said.
