Im in the Christmas mood right now. I might make a couple more Christmas imagines if that's what you guys like. Thanks all!! Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas

I feel someone nudge me on my shoulder and I open my eyes groggily to see my 9 year old daughter standing above me with a shit eating grin on her face.
"What'd you do?" I ask rubbing my eyes.
"Nothing, do you know what day it is though?" she whispers.
"What?" I ask with a small laugh pretending I don't know what day it is.
"Christmas!" she shouts a little louder. I hear my husband groan and roll over to me. He lifts his head off and places it on my side.
"Morning love" he kisses my cheek. "And Darla."
"Gross, its Christmas. Get up." Darla groans and goes back downstairs. I roll over to look at Harry.
"Is it Christmas already?" he asks.
"Yes. The day has finally arrived." I smile and play with his hair. "The day we watch our kids open up a bunch of presents that we spent 2 months buying and running around for. The day we have to go to your mums house and my mum and dads house to watch our kids open up even more presents that they wont remember in a month anyways" I tell him.
"So bitter" he laughs. He pulls himself out of bed, reminding me hes just in his boxers and I cant help but to stare at his nice bum.
"Shake it for me baby" I laugh. He turns to look at me, smirks and then shakes his bum around before putting on some clothes. I climb out of bed, already dressed in nice pajamas and follow him downstairs.
"Yay! Presents" our 7 year old daughter shouts as she watches us come down the stairs.
"Mummy!" my 5 year old son runs up to me and hugs me.
"Hey Jakey." I pick him up. "Ready to open presents?" I ask.
"Yeah" he shouts. I set him down and they all start digging into the presents. I take a seat next to Harry.

After all the presents are unwrapped, the trash is thrown away, the new things are put away we all get ready to go to Anne's house for Christmas lunch.
"Mum, can I please take my DS to grandmas with me?" Darla begs. I had told the kids they could bring one new toy with them if it wasn't one of the expensive ones. Anne doesn't like to be shown up about presents. It pisses me off though, why cant I buy my kids expensive stuff?
"Honey, I know you are really excited about it and I know you cant wait to play it but you know how grandma Anne is" I tell her.
"Please mum." she begs.
"Fine! If she asks tell her that it was from Grandma (y/l/n)"
"Thank you" she hugs me and gets in the car.
"Everyone in?" I ask the kids and I get a yes from all three of them. Harry starts the car and we head out singing Christmas music.

"Yay! Youre here" Anne shouts as we come in. She hugs Darla, Jake then Marie.
"Hey (y/N)"  Anne smiles at but doesn't not hug me. I nod to her and go sit down in the living room.

"Who bought you that?" I hear Anne say. I know she's talking to you Darla and I sigh.

"Grandma (y/l/n)" She lies. I know she hates lying, I shouldn't have made her do that

"Harry and I actually" I come back in to the kitchen.

"Why did you buy something so expensive. You know I don't like that. It shows me up" she pouts and I roll my eyes.

"Because I'm her mother and Harry is her father. We can buy our children whatever we want and you can just get over it. While we're at I bought Marie an Xbox one and Jake an iPad. The new one. You can get mad if you like." I shrug.

"Why would you do that?" She steps closer.

"You know Anne, you act like the kids care who buys them what, and how much money it is but my kids aren't being raised to love material things. None of them really asked for stuff this year. They never ran up and pointed to a toy on a catalog none of them were upset about something under the tree. After they unwrapped all their presents they gave Harry and I a hug and thanked us. Do you understand that whatever you bought them they will love because they never even asked for anything  and for you to be petty over presents is ridiculous" I finish my rant. She sighs and walks away and I smile. Darla looks at me happily.

"Nice one mum" she high fives me and I give her a fist bump.

After everything is done, everything at Anne and my parents houses we go home. The kids go to their rooms to play with their new things and Harry and I go to our room.

"Why would you tell my mum off like that?" He asks as soon as we get in our room.

"Why? Because I am so tired of her shit. She's always bitching at me about something. I'm tired of it!" I shout.

"What's the matter with you two. You both got a long so well. Now you can't stand to be around each other's."

"That was before we had kids and she started to raise them. They are my children. I conceived and carried them for 9 months and pushed them out. She needs to stop treating them like her kids." I rant.

"They're her first grandchildren. You have to understand"

"I knew I shouldn't have told you this, you always take her side!" I shout.

"Shes my mother"

"I'm your wife."

"Look, it's Christmas I don't want to fight" he sighs.

"We aren't fighting" I lie. He gives me a look that says he knows I'm lying. I figured he'd pick up my lying face after 15 years. I sigh and sit down.

"Okay, I know I could defend you more but you could also understand how it is for my mum" he grabs my hand. "She barley ever gets to see the kids, when she does you always seem to show her up. Not that it's a bad thing, just tone it down a bit" he gives his puppy eyes.

"Okay...okay, fine fine fine"

"I love you." He pulls my face to look at him.

"I love you too" I kiss him. "Merry Christmas"
