We knew we couldn't put it off much longer. It's been 4 months since I met Harry and I kept making excuses as to why he and Renesmee couldn't meet. After all, there was a 1 in 3 chance and it would be in my favor.
Renesmee kept pushing me to let it happen because she didn't want me to keep putting off the worst possible outcome. And I honestly don't know which one is worse. On one hand, we'd have to kill him. I'd have to watch my true mate be pulled apart and burnt to ash. On the other though, he would decide that the smell was too much for him and he'd leave me. And I of course would have the option to go with. Alice said she hadn't seen a future where I would follow him, her and I knowing my love for our family would over power any love I had outside of them.
But if that outcome were to happen, I'd know that I let my true mate slip through my fingers and he'd be out there, moving on with his eternity and I'd be here, wishing I could have had both.

And my family all knew I was pushing it off, trying to keep my two lives separated for my own sake. I was miserable wishing I could be with my family and Harry at the same time. Though at first it didn't seem to hard, I'd be gone for weeks on end with Harry and then I'd come back and Alice would tell me to stop pushing it off. I ignored her until now. I only agreed to do it now because Harry said he knew it was time. He had already stayed in the area far longer than he had stayed anywhere else.

So today, I'm sucking it up and taking Harry to meet Renesmee and my two worlds will collide. We decided it would be best to have everyone meet in a big space so if anyone needed to, they would have time to run. Jacob took his wolf form of course, Emmett, Edward and Bella all standing near by in case Harry were to strike.

"Are you ready for this?" I ask Harry once our running finally comes to a stop at the edge of the clearing. It doesn't matter if he is, I am not. He gives me a slight nod and takes my hand. My whole life is about to change right here and now and I couldn't be more shaken by it.
We walk further into the field and I see my family standing 20 yards away. I look to Harry and he gives a slight sniff of his nose. He shakes his head and we slowly move closer, I'm more tense than he is now, the closer we get to her.
Bella and Edward are both in a stance that lets me know that if Harry even so much as looks at Renesmee in a threatening way, it'll be the end of him.
I suppose it's a good thing that Edward can read minds. I know it's killing all of them to be standing far from Renesmee when her life hangs in the balance though, I'm sure they've more than prepared themselves for this. And poor old Jacob, he's been against it since the beginning, hating the idea of putting anyone else's wants in front of his own.

I watch Harry as our 20 yard distance from her gets smaller and smaller. His nose crinkles a little but I find in his memories that he's matched it to a wolf he came across a few years ago and I know it's reacting to Jacob.
Finally, we are only 10 feet away from Renesmee. Harry takes a long sniff in the air and then there's a long moment as we all stand still in our spots.

"May I say, Renesmee, you smell...like you've been licked by a wet dog." Harry finally snickers and my entire body relaxes at his words. Renesmee's lips turn into a big smile and his insult as the everyone else's relaxes too. "I'm serious (Y/N), she's your best friend?" He chuckles. We walk closer to my phone and I finally get to introduce him to everyone formally.

When he gets to Bella and Edward, I see Edwards face fall with confusion and I wonder what he's heard in Harry's mind. I'll have to check his memories later.

"Welcome to the family." Emmett nudges his arm, pushing Harry slightly. There is a 5 inch height difference but there is also a muscle difference here. Harry's frame is more lean while Emmett is mostly muscle.
