I wake up and almost instantly check my phone, hoping for a message from her and I find nothing. I do have a missed call from my manager and a text that says to call him back.
When I call him back he explains that I've been invited to go on James Corden next week for an interview and that there's some articles floating around about how I went to (y/n)s concert last night. Well that was fast but I'm not mad because at least they didn't harass me while I was there. And it's not like it's some big news story. I wonder if the invite from James and the articles have any correlation? I doubt it, James is a good friend and probably just misses me.

The rest of the day is spent in my house waiting on anything from (y/n) while trying to write songs.
Finally, at nearly 8 pm I get a DM and it's from her. I get excited to read it as I open it.

"Hey, thanks so much! It was great meeting you! Sorry I didn't write back before, you know how tours can be so busy..."

I reread it a few times thinking of a good response before I finally come up with one.

"No worries! I hope you're having fun though!!" I click send and realize I've added too many exclamations but it's too late now.

"It's so much fun actually, it's my favorite part of my job."
"Do you mind texting? I don't really like Twitter DMs, it seems to impersonal..."
My heart nearly jumps at her offer to text so I go ahead and send her my number. Once we start talking over text we spend a couple hours just talking about our music and our families. Around midnight is when I realize how late it's got and I've barely moved from my music room other than to pee and get some water.
She tells me she's tired and headed to bed but promises to text me in the morning. I wish a goodnight and do the same.

The rest of the week is full of friendly texts back and forth when we're both not too busy, I tell her about the podcast I watched of her and she tells me that was the first time she's ever really gone into such detail about her past and she likes to keep her past behind her. I don't push her for more details as I'm sure she'll tell me when she's ready.

It's the day of my interview with James and I sit in my dressing room, waiting to be called for hair and makeup when there's a knock on my door.

"Come in!" I call and James steps into my room. I stand up and we share a small hug.

"Harry, it's so good to see you again. You look great." He smiles and I smile back at him.

"I've missed you James. How've you been?" I ask. He begins to tell me about his wife and kids for a minute before he starts talking about the show and he tells me who the musical act is.

"Yeah, so we have (y/c/n) performing and-" I cut him off to make sure I heard him right.

"Did you say (y/c/n) as in (y/n)? You didn't tell me that?" I point out.

"Why? Do you not like her? Cause I've seen the articles about you-" he tries to say but I cut him off again.

"No, I do like her. She's very cool I just want expecting it." I tell him. She never told me about that but I suppose I never brought it up to her. I suppose it slipped both of our minds.

"And for my next guest, my good friend and the reason for all of your sexual fantasies-Mr. Harry Styles!" He introduces me. I step out from behind the curtain and people go wild as I wave and do a quick bow. I kind of wish I got see (y/n) before this but maybe I could see her after the show. James gives me a quick hand shake and I take a seat next to his desk.

"Harry, it's so great to see you again." He begins.

"It's great to be back James." I smile. The interview goes on for a while, he asks me about my future plans and things I've done recently and then he asks me about going to (y/n)s concert, I figured it would come up.

"So there's some photos going around of you at (y/c/n)s concert. How was that?" He asks and I clear my throat, trying not to blush.

"It was good, I had some fun. I met her and everything and she was just really cool." I nod.

"We have her here today. As you know..." he tells me and I nod, full blushing now. "You're blushing? You like her don't you Harry?" He pushes.

"I mean, yeah. I've had a chat with her or two and she's really sweet. Very lovely." I nod. Of course I like her but I can't just come right out and say I have feelings for her. Especially not tv and especially not when she's here.

After James and I say our goodbyes and I leave the stage at break I walk into (y/n) who is adjusting her outfit so she doesn't see me and bumps into me.

"Oh I'm sorry-Harry." She smiles really big when she sees me. "Your interview was great." Her face turns red a little and I bite my lip to keep from grinning.

"Yeah, James and I go way back so it's always pretty easy to talk to him." I shrug trying to play it cool.

"So, you like me then?" She says right out and I have clear my throat as I'm taken off guard.

"Of course I do, you're a very fun girl." I shrug.

"Well good news for you, I like you too." She laughs.

"Maybe we could...hang out soon then? Grab a drink after the show?" I suggest.

"I'd like that." She nods.

"(Y/n)! You're on in 5!" A producer yells to her and she nods.

"Well that's my cue." She laughs and pats my arm. When she's out of sight I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. Did I just get a date with her?
