Nico Rosberg: You speak German?

You and Nico have been together for a few months now. Today was Sunday, which meant the two of you had the whole day to spend together as he had the weekend off.

Even though you knew each other very well already, there were still some things that he didn't know about you yet. It is not like you had some big secrets, but some things just never came up when the two of you were having a conversation.

You were currently still laying in bed. Nico was still asleep - or, so you thought - so you decided to sneak out and prepare some breakfast. You tiptoed down the stairs and greeted your dog on your way down. After giving him some food and fresh water you went to make yourself and Nico
some tea. When you were done, you went to pick up the two cups of tea. Your hands seemed to have other thoughts, which made you drop one of the cups onto the floor. Luckily for you, you did not burn yourself. The mess was also not too bad, but the noise it made was hard enough to  wake up even the neighbours.

"Argh! Scheise!" [Shit] You sighed in frustration. "Was ist los, babe?" [What's wrong, babe?] You heard someone say from behind you which made you spin around and look at him with wide eyes.

"Nichts!" [Nothing!] You said quickly, which only made him quirk one eyebrow, "Well, I might have dropped a cup of tea onto the ground," you said while cleaning the mess you had made earlier. "I see," he said, grabbing the cup of tea that you hadn't dropped.

"Wait a second... did I just hear you speak German?" He asked casually which made you look up at him. He stood leaning against the kitchen table with a smug smirk plastered on his face. "I don't know what you're talking about," you said, shrugging it off.

Two could play that smug game of his. "Denkst du wirklich, dass ich das nicht gehört habe?" [Did you really think that I did not hear you?] he asked while shaking his head.

"Nico. Du wusstest doch, dass ich in Deutschland studiert habe? Also, ja, ich spreche Deutsch". [Nico. You know I studied in Germany, right? So, yes, I speak German]

He looked at you in semi-shock. "Why didn't you tell me?" "Well, it never came up". You said while you just finished cleaning up the mess.

"Does that mean you will talk German to me all the time now?" He asked.

"Nein". [No.]
