30. "I've been in love with you my entire life."

Word count: 794

You and Seb were best friends. You had been ever since kindergarten, and you have been inseperable ever since. You loved him, maybe a little too much than a best friend is supposed to love their other half. But there was no turning back now. You pushed the feelings you had for Sebastian away, afraid you would be rejected by him and ruin the friendship. You figured it was better to be friends with him than not being around him at all.

Little did you know that Sebastian was doing the exact same thing. He had been in love with you as soon as he had laid his eyes on you in kindergarten. Of course he'd had other girlfriends, but that was only to forget you. That was never a success, though. He could never forget you. He thought about you at least a hundred times a day, and yet he never seemed to find the courage to tell you how he really felt. Sebastian had told himself that if he'd win the race that Sunday, he would fly over to you and tell you how he felt. He felt more driven to win a race than ever. Yet, he was more scared than ever before in his life. What if you rejected him and he would lose you? He quickly shook those thoughts out of his head and pushed himself to focus on winning.

Sebastian had won the race that weekend and was now sitting on the flight that would take him to your home. He was sitting next to an old lady who had been eyeing him as though she knew what was going on.

"What are you so nervous about young man? You haven't sat still ever since we took off," the lady asked him, concern lacing her question. Sebastian sighed, "I'm sorry about that. It's just a promise I made to myself. It's about a girl... my best friend to be more specific," Sebastian admitted.

"Ah, I see. And you're going to tell her you love her, I suppose?" she asked knowingly. Sebastian nodded his head and looked down at his hands that were resting in his lap, "I'm frightened."

"Oh, I'm sure she loves you. You're a handsome young man," she says making Sebastian chuckle, "If I were any younger," she whispered more to herself than to Sebastian, but he'd still heard her and tried not to giggle.

"Do you... you know... maybe have some tips on what to do and what not do do?" He asked insecurely. She raised an eyebrow at him and shook her head, "just do whatever feels right at the time. I'm sure you'll be just fine." He nodded his head, "thank you."

Sebastian nervously stepped out of the taxi that had brought him to your house. He stood in front of it, contemplating what to do. He figured he'd just think of what to do when he saw you, like the lady on the plane had suggested. He exhaled a breath he didn't know he was holding and walked over to the door before ringing the bell. A moment later you opened the door and you both had to blink a few times.

"Seb... what are you doing here?" You asked while a grin started to form on your lips. He opened his arms as a sign for you to give him a hug. You inmediately walked into his arms and sighed at the feeling of him really being here.

"I need to admit something," Seb said.

"Let me guess, you've ditched your super strict diet once again? I totally understand, nothing to worry about," you said as you ushered him inside your house. You took his jacket from him and then walked into the living room. "No, no, it's not that. It's important, (y/n)."

"Okay? Now you're worrying me."

"I told myself that I would tell you something I've kept to myself for a while if I won the race-"

"You got someone pregnant?" You interrupted. Seb looked at you like you were crazy and shook his head. "God no," he giggled.

"Okay, good. Then continue please."

"I really don't know how to say this,(y/n)... promise me this won't change anything between us, but, I've been in love with you my entire life."

For a minute it was dead silent. You were taking in his confession while he was sitting on the couch with his eyes closed in fear. "Oh," you mumbled.

"Oh?"

"Seb," you started, to which he looked up hesitantly, "I hope this changes everything between us."

"What do you mean?"

"Seb, you dork, I've been in love with you basically my entire life too."

"Oh," Sebastian breathed out, "really?"

"Yes, now shut up and kiss me."
