Valtteri Bottas: Celebration

Today was the first time you took your and Valterri's son, Matti, with you to watch the race. You were afraid the little man wouldn't like it, but he really seemed to be enjoying himself. You smiled to yourself and sighed happily. You were glad the two of you got to see him again. Three weeks apart was a very long time. Especially since little Bottas whined about his dad being away for so long. You had to keep an eye on Matti as he really liked to wander off. Valtteri didn't know you were here yet, so it would really be a surprise for him to see you and your son here. Valtteri had qualified 2nd, which was really good. You had faith in him that he wod be abe to drive a great race. You just felt it.

"Mommy, why can't we see daddy?" Matti asked sadly. You kneeled down in front of him and told him that it had to be a surprise for his daddy that you two were here. He clapped his hands in excitement.

The race soon started and Valtteri fell back to place 4 after a pitstop. You still believed that he could go for the win. He let everyone see his skills by overtaking both Ferraris, reclaiming his 2nd position. Only Hamilton was still left in front of him now. He knew he had to be very careful about his next move, but he knew Lewis' tyres were not great anymore, so he took his chance and overtook him. You cheered loudly, knowing Hamilton's chances of winning were very small now, as there were only a few laps remaining before the race would be over.

Valtteri finished first for the first time in his life. You picked up Matti and cheered loudly. "Daddy did it, Matti! He won the race!" you exclaimed while he smiled, watching the television screen in front of him. "Daddy won!" he said, finding it hard to believe. You nodded your head while tearing up. You were so proud of your husband! This had always been his dream and now it had come true. You were over the moon and couldn't wait to congratulate him on his win.

After Valtteri had done his duty, he made his way back to the paddock. You were prepared and told Matti you were going to play hide and seek for daddy. The two of you hid behind the crew. You saw him walk in, looking happier than ever, and you quickly ducked your head again. You didn't want him to see you yet. After the team members had all congratulated him, they moved to the side. Valtteri saw the two of you and began tearing up. You rushed over to him and flew into his arms, Matti following close after you. He crouched down to your child and picked him up easily and spun him around the room. Matti giggled and wrapped his small arms around his father's neck. Valtteri pulled you into his side and kissed you passionately.

"I'm so proud of you Val, you did it!" you said. "I thought about my favourite two people in the world and then I won." Valtteri said while wrapping the both of you in his arms even tighter.

"Daddy, you won!" Matti exclaimed happily while kissing his cheek. Valtteri smiled, "all I ever do, I do it for the two of you."
