32. "You know, it's okay to cry."

Word count: 539

It had been two weeks since the two of you were told that one of Sebastian's best friends had died in a car crash. You were shocked to hear that and immediately broke down crying. You Always had a lot of fun with him. Sebastian stood still, unable to say anything, unable to do anything. It was like he was frozen to the ground.

You had to drag Sebastian towards his friend's funeral a week ago. He looked awful, he didn't sleep well, he barely ate and he barely even said a word to you nor anyone else.

It broke your heart seeing him like this. You had no idea how to make him feel better, because anytime you would say something he would either keep quiet or mumble something incoherent. You really tried to cheer him up by doing things for him that would normally make him feel better, but now nothing seemed to work for him.

Hurt.

That was the word to describe Sebastian at the moment. You thought that he would get better after his friend's funeral, that he would slowly move on from the pain, but you were wrong. The word also described you. It hurt you seeing him like this, and it hurt that he pushed you away. No one can deal with these things on their own, and yet your boyfriend still tried to deal with it all by himself.

Seb sat at home all day long, either scrolling through his phone or training for the upcoming race. It wasn't healthy to do so, but nothing you said could get him to stop. You sighed as you ran out of ideas how to make him feel even the slightest bit happier.

Walking into his training room, you leaned against the doorframe to watch him work out. You knew this was his safe haven, and that he only trained to get his mind off of things. You shook your head as you couldn't do this anymore in these conditions, making your way over to crouch down in front of him.

"Seb, I know you're hurting, but this isn't the way to move on. He would not want to see you like this, liebe {love}," you said, referring to his friend, which made him frown.

"You know, it's okay to cry," you said softly as you stroked his cheek to comfort him. Something in him seemed to snap as he looked at you, eyes watering as he finally dared to let his emotions out. He fell into your arms, shaking as he cried into your arms. You sat there for what felt like ages, but you didn't mind. You were just glad that he finally let out his emotions.

"Thank you so much (y/n), I wouldn't know how to deal with this without you," Sebastian managed to choke out as he pulled away from your embrace a little.

"It's my job to help you, with anything. We will get over this, Seb. Together," you said before pressing a kiss to his nose.

"I love you so much," he mumbled as he let himself fall back into your embrace once more. You knew that you could do this. You could do anything together, so this as well.
