Jen's POV

We've just landed at the airport and Katie is still oblivious to the situation, she's definetly going to catch on as soon as she wakes up and looks out the window.

"Why are we in Kentucky?" Katie yawns to me as she stretches her arms and rejoins the land of the living. This is what I was waiting for.

"Oh. Are we?" I ask her sounding blaitently clueless.

"Yeah we are." she responds in a matter of fact tone.

"I hadn't noticed." I sigh to her.

"Whatever you say." She smiles to me and gets up from her seat to get her luggage with a huge grin plastered on her face.

I begin to grab my belongings and put on my shoes before I help Justine carry some luggage off the plane.

"Want some help?" I ask to Katie as she follows us down the steps on the plane luggage in hand.

"I'm sweet." she smiles back, using her charming northern irish dialect and dismounts the last step.

"There's the security car." Justine points out and we follow her gaze to be met by two security guards leaning against a large blacked out suv about twenty meters away from us.

"Guys!" She calls over to them in an attempt to catch their attention which is successful.

In response one comes running over and grabs our luggage while the other gets into the car and gets ready for us to leave.

"Thanks." I thank the security guy who grabbed our luggage then follow him over to the car where we all quickly get in and begin the last leg of our journey, to my parents house.

When we got to my parents house, Justine left to go to her parents house and Katie and I greeted my parent, took our stuff to the spare room and got changed.

"Do you guys want some lunch?" Mom asks when we join her at the kitchen table.

"I was thinking we could get it while we're out." I sigh to her as I tap the wood of the table.

"We're going out?" Katie asks me confused.

"Yeah." I inform her. I was thinking that we would adopt a child on this side of christmas so that we can improve their christmas this year, but I have'nt told Katie or anyone yet, I have'nt even told my family about me deciding to adopt again.

"Well, where?" Katie asks me in an jokingly agrivated tone.

"I'll get to that." I state as I hold my finger up indicating for her to wait.

"Mom." I start and turn my body and attention towards her.

"Yeah?" She asks me confused.

"Okay don't freak out but I've decided to adopt again." I reply with a weary tone, scared of her response.

"Already?" She asks me amazed, surprising me she already thought I would?

"What do you mean already?" I ask her confused as Katie just sits and watches the conversation from the seat to the right of me.

"I already thought you would do it again, i just didn't expected you to do it so soon." She smiles to me, she's obviously happy about it.

"Oh." I laugh to her.

"Not mad or anything?" I ask her confused.

"Far from it." She smiles to me and reaches across the table and grasps my hand in hers, rubbing it with her thumb.

In response I just smile and rub my thumb on hers savouring the moment between us.

"Come on, go get ready and we can go to the orphanage." She claps and stands up in a excited way.
