Jen's POV

Keeping Piper under my influence for as long as I can she soon realises what's happening and sadly she controls herself, pulling her lips from mine and moving away in pure astonishment.

"I shouldn't have done that. What the hell was I thinking," She stutters and I move towards her taking her tensed hand.

"Jen I'm sorry, don't fire me," She stands up and lumps on her wounded leg.

"Piper Piper calm down. I moved in first," I stand up coming towards her.

"Yeah but-" I cut her off.

"But nothing. You're not getting fired over that," I assure her.

"I don't regret that Piper," I admit to her and she gulps as I come face to face with her.

"Jen I don't know about that. A lot of people have come to regret being near me. Look at Zoe for example, two years wasted on me," She looks down.

"Zoe's a bitch," I blurt out and she looks up surprised at my choice words for her ex.

"I'm sorry but she is. She doesn't deserve you Piper," I defend my case.

"Whatever you say but I'm more interested in the fact that you seem gay!" She raises her voice slightly.

"I'm not,"

"That kiss suggested otherwise," She folds her arms.

"I just like you, I can't help it," I shrug and Piper shrugs in return.

"A shrug is not acceptable here Jennifer. I don't know what the fuck I'm meant to do," She walks over to the bed sitting down on it, rubbing her leg again.

"Why don't we just see how it goes?" I suggest to her as I sit down beside.

"See how what goes?" She looks to her side at me, she looks so lost and confused by me.

"This..." I struggle to find words as she looks back down.

"Situation," I smirk slightly.

"Right well I'm fuckin lost Jen," She admits.

"Can I clear it up for you?" I ask her and she lifts her head, looking at me tiredly.

"I know what you're getting at with that and no Jen. This doesn't feel right, imagine the shit you'd go through with the media if we ended up anything more than what we are already," She explains and I begin taking offence.

"What you don't want to?" I ask her.

"Of course I do. You have no idea how badly I want to but it's not right Jen. You're you and I'm me, it just wouldn't work, you'd kill me," She gets up walking over to her shoes and fighting them on.

"What're you doing?" Fuck I've blown it, I've scared her off.

"I need to think," She walks to the door.

"Piper wait a second," I run after her slamming the door closed before she can get through.

"Don't leave. I don't care about the media and you shouldn't either, I'll do whatever it takes to keep you away from it," I fight hoping to convince her, I really do like her it's just so difficult in this situation.

"I don't care about being involved in it. I don't want you getting a load of shit because of me, you don't deserve it," She sighs looking down.

"Piper please listen to me," I take her hands in mine and she looks up examining my expression.

"I like you. A lot. Just give it a try, if it doesn't work out it doesn't work out," I'm reduced to begging her.

"Jen-" She starts.

"Please," I tighten my grip on her hands.

Seconds feel like minutes and minutes feel like hours until she replies. It's a lot to take in, I understand her fear of answering.

She doesn't voice her response and it goes unclear for me. She wraps her arms around me and hoists me up, I wrap my legs around her waist and really hate the idea of letting her go. She's very comforting to me.

"I'm still waiting on an answer," I tell her wearily and she shakes her head burying it into my chest.

She replies but it's just a giant muffle to me.

"I didn't hear that Piper," I smile slightly and she lets me down.

"Okay," She nods with a crooked grin and I mirror it pulling her into me.

"Jesus Piper what the hell happened to you?" A familiar voice speaks up from the door and I let go of Piper looking to the door.

"You're back early," I exclaim happily when I lock eyes with Katie.

"My lecture was cancelled for tomorrow so I figured I'd come home early," She shrugs walking in.

"Anyway what happened to you Piper?" She presses as Piper sits down on the side of the bed.

"Got into a fight," She tells her.

"Am I interrupting something?" Katie asks awkwardly.

"No, no. I'm gonna go check on Alex," I excuse myself.

"I'm gonna go to bed it's been a long day," Katie tells me and I just nod letting her do as she pleases. I was kind of hoping she'd do something like that. I want to talk to Piper while I have the chance.

"Jen," Piper calls me back after Katie's left.

Turning around I'm stunned when she's right there in front of me with her lips pushed to mine.

"Sorry I just had to do that," She confesses and a smile laces through my lips as her thumbs caress my face.

"I haven't got a problem with that," I grin up at her.
