Jens POV
I sit in the car and watch as the world smears passes me through the thick window.

"You okay?" I ask turning my head towards Katie, who is rubbing her left thigh in aggravation.

"Huh? Oh, my legs are just like sore or something. Don't worry about it." She says, trying to wave off her obvious pain.

"Do you have to take your medication or something? Maybe that's what's causing it." I suggest, not pressing her for a further explanation.

"Yeah I think so. I'll just take it when we get in." She answers with a reassuring smile for my benefit.

"Okay, just make sure you take it." I order, giving her an authoritarian glance.

"Yes sir." She retorts with a jocular salute.

"Very funny." I snigger.

"Em, I was just wondering how are you going to go about the whole, you know, introducing me to the public thing? Considering you don't have any social media, I mean that's how most celebrity's do this kind of thing?" Katie asks in a soft interested tone, taking me off guard. That's a good question. How am I going to do that?

"Good question, I hadn't thought about it, I guess we will cross that bridge when we get to it." I answer truthfully, because what's the point in worrying about it? The public will all have the same reaction, no matter what what platform I communicate it on.

"I guess." She answers with a shrug.

"Oh em, I was gonna ask, are you okay with flying?" I ask curiously, wondering if she had a fear of it.

"Yeah I guess. I'm not terrified of it, I just prefer being on the ground." She answers, turning her attention back to me.

"Okay, good, because I was wondering, are you okay with flying to Kentucky in a few days so that you can meet my family. Well, your family." I ask, correcting myself at the end and finishing with a warm smile.

"Yeah I would love to meet them." She answers enthusiastically.

"Okay good, cause I was thinking of surprising them when I bring you because I haven't told them I'm coming yet. Neither have I spoken to them since before the accident, so they are probably freaking out, but I wanted to surprise them so we will just show up." I answer with a large grin.

"That sounds pretty fun." She answers chuckling, We are then interrupted by the car coming to a stop in my driveway.

"Here, I'll get out first and help you out okay?" I order, worried in case she protests but she doesn't. Probably cause she knows it's a fight she wouldn't win.

"Okay." She answers looking me straight in the eyes and smiling, in return I smile and swiftly get out of the car and make my way around the car to her side, where she had already successfully opened the door. Then I firmly gripped my right arm around her shoulder and clamped my other hand around her left hand and helped her out of the car and into the house as fast as I could.

"Thank you." She said breaking the silence and looking up with a warm smile playing on her lips.

"You're welcome." I answered warmly and hugged her tightly which she could only return by hooking her chin around my shoulder considering her arms where her support.

"Welcome home." I say breaking our embrace. After I had said that I watched as she cast her eyes around the house in amazement and began grinning widely as she brought her eyes back to me.

"It's amazing, it really is. I love it." She complimented with the huge grin still sitting on her lips.

"Good that's really really good." I answered grinning back.

"Come on I'll show you around, and by the way do not try and go up and down the stairs without me I'm not having you break another limb. Those days are over." I state looking her straight in the eye.

"Okay." She retorted chuckling and smiling.

"Okay good lets go." I say and start towards the kitchen, once we completed the tour I helped her upstairs so that she could change and put away her stuff, after we had so I broke the silence.

"Do you want to stay upstairs and watch tv or something, then have some food or what do you want to do?" I ask hoping she picks the easier option and says upstairs.

"Upstairs is probably the easier option." She answers timidly.

"Okay, good I was hoping you would say that, what do you want for dinner?" I ask awaiting an answer.

"Well I'm easy, I'll eat pretty much anything. I'm not really a fussy eater just so long as it's tasty, you choose." She answers happily.

"Okay right well are you happy with Chinese take out or something?" I ask.

"Yeah sounds great." She answers happily.

"Good what do you want?" I answer going to get my phone.

"Probably chicken chow mien." She answers.

"Good taste, that's my usual." I compliment.

"Thanks and once again another thing we have in common, our taste buds." She retorts sniggering.

"Yeah true." I answer with a soft laugh.

"I'll order the food and get changed then I guess we will just lay in bed and watch tv flat out for the rest of the day, sound good?" I ask.

"Sounds perfect and I was gonna say could we watch some game of thrones I'm pretty behind I'm on like season four I used to watch it on illegal websites on my iPad while sitting in Starbucks." She questions chuckling towards the end.

"Yeah I'm actually on the same season. Oh yeah I just remembered, I'll get you some water for your meds." I answer happily.

"Oh yeah, thanks. I would say I would but you know." She says smiling softly and eyeing her legs dangling below her.

"It's okay I'll be back." I say retrieving a glass of water from the kitchen and prancing back up the stairs.

"Here" I say putting the glass on the nightstand beside Katie, who had now sat down on the bad awaiting my return.

"Thank you." She said while taking the pills and water gratefully.

"No problem I'll get changed then we can watch game of thrones and get more pissed about the red wedding." I say walking into my closet and getting into some sweats and making my way back into the room and sitting on the bed beside her. I turn on the tv and putting on the Apple tv in search of game of thrones.

"Yeah I know I was so annoyed at that episode but at the same time I was amazed, like I didn't know how to feel." She said looking at me awaiting my answer.

"Same, I was just like, oh my god." I answered enthusiastically.

I know for a fact that this will go really well. We already get along really well and she is aware of how much I have to work so there won't be any arguments about that. I think I can safely say it we will be a great mother and daughter that will share the relationship of two best friends.

A/N: okay guys bare with me I know it's kind of boring but stick with me I'm gonna make it more interesting soon. What do you think so far?
