Twelve hours later and Niamh has arrived in Malaysia, she knew her parents weren't expecting her but they were always open to her coming over.

She gets her luggage and Matthews's pram and sits him in it and heads over to a coffee shop, she sits there for a while and tries to get herself ready to face her parents.

"Right my sweet boy lets go see Granny and Granddad" Niamh says as she finishes her coffee and gets up.

She heads out to the taxi area and gets a taxi to her parents house which is around two hours away from the airport.

Two hours later she arrives outside her parents house, it's around nine in the morning and she knows her mum will be up. She pays the taxi driver and gets her stuff out, the driver helps her carry her things to the door and Niamh carries Matthew up.

She knocks the door and waits a little, she can hear her mum coming to the door and she bites her lip.

" Niamh?" Barbara says in shock as she opens the door.

"Hi" Niamh says.

"What the hell you're meant to be in London" she says really confused.

"Change of plans" Niamh says as her mum lets her in.

"Where's Joe?" She asks.

"I've broken up with him" Niamh says bluntly.

"Oh no Niamh, why what happened?" Barbara asks.

"Everything" she sighs as she puts her bags down and looks at her mum.

Barbara looks at Niamh with a sympathetic smile, Niamh starts to cry and Barbara pulls her into a hug "oh baby girl" she says as she holds her close.

She kisses Niamh's cheek and looks at her "oh well your always welcome here" Barbara smiles.

Niamh nods and wipes her tears with her free hand. "Hun who's at the door?" Brian calls as he walks through.

"We have a visitor" Barbara smiles.

"Niamh?" He says stunned to see Niamh standing in the hall way.

Niamh smiles and puts Matthew down on the floor as he's getting agitated. "Hello" Niamh smiles at her dad as he comes over and hugs her.

"Where's Joe?" Brian asks curiously and instantly Niamh starts crying.

"They've broken up" Barbara mouths to Brian as he hugs Niamh.

Brain nods and carries on hugging Niamh for a while before letting her go, "I'm so sorry to come without any warning" Niamh says tearfully.

"Don't worry my love you're here now" Barbara smiles as she lifts Matthew up, "right now Mr Matthew lets get you something nice while I get your mummy a drink" Barbara smiles.

Niamh follows her mum to the kitchen and watches as she talks to Matthew. "Who's getting a big boy now" Barbara coos and she bounces him on her hip.
"I can't get over he's going to be one next month, it's gone so quickly" Barbara adds as she turns to look at Niamh.

"It feels like yesterday he was a tiny wee baby in my arms" she replies as she gets the milk out the fridge for her mum.

"I still remember the day you told me you were pregnant, I couldn't believe it my first grandchild now I've got two" he smiles.

Barbara makes Niamh a drink and sits down with her at the kitchen table as Matthew sits on the floor with his soft cow with teething ring.

"Ma!" Matthew smiles as he crawls over to Niamh and pulls himself up on her knee.

"He's getting strong too" Barbara smiles.

"He is" Niamh says as she strokes Matthews's head.

Niamh looks at her phone and sees a message from Joe, she opens it but doesn't reply to him. "Mama" Matthew squeals as Niamh is ignoring him.

"Yes sweetie" Niamh smiles as she picks him up and sits him on her lap.

"What happened between you two then?" Barbara asks.

Niamh shrugs and kisses Matthews's head, "we just went our separate ways" she sighs.

"There's got to be more than just that" Barbara smiles as she touches Niamh's knee.

Niamh hugs Matthew and doesn't reply for a bit "because I couldn't do it with him" she sighs.

"Do what?" Barbara asks really confused.

She rolls her eyes at her mum before sighing, "I couldn't have sex with him" she replies.

"Why ever not, anyway a relationship should be based on trust and love not just your sex drives" Barbara says with a little smile as she's never seen her daughter so open about her sex life.

"I don't know, we haven't done it properly since before Matthew was born" Niamh explains.

Barbara thinks to herself before replying, "this doesn't have anything to do with Elliot does it?" She questions.

"Don't!" Niamh says quickly. Her mum sits there starring at her in shock, "don't say his name, don't even breathe a word about him" she panics.

"Oh gosh baby girl, I didn't realise it was that bad" she replies.

"You should know mum, I'm just scared it'll happen again" Niamh says as she messes with Matthews's hair.

"It won't, you would never do a thing like that... he thinks the world of you" she says.

Niamh sighs and kisses Matthews's head before putting him down on the floor, he instantly lies flat out of the tile floor and squeals.

"Joe thinks the world of you and Matthew, you can't fault him" Barbara says as she takes Niamh's hand and gives it a reassuring squeeze.

She nods and looks at her mum, "I guess so, but we'll never be the same again" she says.

"Yes you will my love, you two were made for each other... you both created a gorgeous little boy who's just golden" Barbara says as she watches Matthew on the floor playing with the dogs tail.

Niamh laughs at the comment about Matthew "yeah until he kicks off... Mum you do realised Matthew was an accident" Niamh mumbles.

"A planned accident?" Barbara asks as this is the first she's heard of this.

Niamh shakes her head "No, we never planned a baby... it was a bit of fun which turned into a baby which turned into the best thing that ever happened to me" Niamh smiles as she watches Matthew who's still interested by Molly's tail.

"To both of you Niamh, you and Joe... both of yours" Barbara smiles as she watches Niamh who's watching Matthew lovingly.
