Around twenty minutes later Niamh is woken by Maisie for her feed. Niamh huffs and rolls her eyes and looks at Maisie in the Moses basket.

She waits a moment before lifting her up. "What's wrong now" she huffs.

She looks over at Joe who is fast asleep and walks around the room bouncing her.

"Please be quiet" Niamh sighs as she tries everything to settle her.

Niamh places Maisie onto her chest and continues to rub her back.

Niamh soon sits herself down on the end of the bed and tries to feed Maisie. "Come on" She says getting herself rather frustrated.

"Why won't you feed" Niamh sighs as she is finding it hard.

Niamh tries her hardest but Maisie just won't take so she moves her away and covers herself up. "Just stop!" She says starting to get tearful.

"I'm doing my best here" she says as she gets upset talking to Maisie.

Maisie continues to cry and Niamh nudges Joe as she can't deal with her. "Joe!" She says.

Joe mumbles and stirs but just turns over and stays asleep. "Fat load of good you are" she huffs as she stands and walks around the room crying to herself as she tries to settle Maisie.

Barbara starts to stir to the sound of Maisie crying and rubs her eyes before deciding to go check in.

She sits up and hangs her legs over the side of the bed. Barbara then slips her slippers on and head out of the spare room and knocks on Niamh's bedroom door.

She doesn't hear a reply so opens the door slightly, "everything ok?" She asks.

Niamh looks up at her Mum and shakes her head tearfully. "Oh baby, come here" she smiles sympathetically as she walks over to Niamh.

"She just keeps crying mum, she won't even feed" Niamh cries as she rocks her.

"Here lets take her downstairs" Barbara smiles as she helps Niamh stand up.

"I've been trying for ages" she sighs as she follows her mum.

"I know sweetie" Barbara smiles.

They walk into the lounge, "honey sit down" Barbara smiles. Niamh sits down with Maisie still crying in her arms.

"Have you tried talking or maybe singing to her? Might help soothe her" Barbara suggests.

"I have... but there is nothing! She won't calm down!" Niamh says getting herself wound up again.

"Here let me try, maybe she's gassy" Barbara suggests.

Niamh nods as she carefully hands Maisie to her mum. "Hey, shh" she smiles bouncing Maisie. Niamh stands up and walks through to the kitchen. "Niamh?" She questions.

"Headache" Niamh replies.

"You sure your alright" Barbara checks.

"Yes, yes... nothing a bit of paracetamol won't sort" Niamh replies.

"That's good" Barbara smiles.

Niamh soon comes and joins Barbara who has managed to sooth Maisie slightly.

"How do you do that" Niamh says as she sits down.

"I think she may have colic" Barbara smiles as she continues to gently rub Maisie's stomach.

"What makes you say that" she asks.

"Just a hunch" Barbara smiles.

"Mum! You can't just get hunches... this could be serious" Niamh says slightly panicked.

"Niamh clam down!" She replies.

"But we need to get her checked!" Niamh worries.

"Erm... Niamh... I'm a nurse" Barbara replies.

"What about a doctor?" Niamh suggests.

"No Niamh, she doesn't need a doctor" Barbara huffs.

"Your probably right..." Niamh says as she thinks to herself.

Niamh watches her Mum rub Maisie's stomach. "Hey! Be careful!" Niamh says.

"Don't worry, I raised you and your sister didn't I" Barbara smiles.

Niamh stands watching her Mum. "Yeah I know, just be careful" Niamh speaks

Barbara smiles and carries on calming Maisie. Soon Niamh sits herself down on the sofa after minutes of pacing. "See here, she's calming down now" she smiles.

"Can I have her back please" Niamh says. Barbara nods and hands her back over to Niamh.

Niamh smiles as she watches Maisie asleep in her arms. "Right then, I'm going back to bed, coming?" Barbara smiles.

Niamh looks up from Maisie, "erm, I shall stay here for a bit" she smiles.

"Okay I shall see you in the morning" Barbara smiles and goes up to bed.
