It is now the early morning of Christmas Day and Niamh and Joe are cuddled up in bed asleep when suddenly the door slams open.

"Wake up!!" Is all they hear when they are woken by Matthew early hours of the morning.

Niamh rolls over and buries her head into Joes side hoping Matthew will go away. "Get up!" Matthew squeals excitedly as he jumps onto the bed.

"What time is it" Niamh groans into Joe.

Joe groans and leans over Niamh and looks at the time "half... four" he mumbles as he lies back down.

"Go back to bed Matthew" Niamh mutters she she gets comfy against Joe again.

"But mummy it's a special day today!" He cheers.

"Do you think there's any chance of us getting him back off?" She mumbles.

Joe doesn't reply and just ignores them both. Niamh huffs and lies there looking at him as Matthew sits at the bottom of their bed waiting.

"Joe if I'm getting up so are you" she groans and nudges him.

He groans and pushes her hands away, "the only time I'm getting up again at four in the bloody morning is if you decide to go into labour" he huffs and slowly sits up.

Niamh gets up with him and looks down at a very impatient Matthew.

She grabs her dressing gown and goes to the bathroom. "Why I mummy being so slow" Matthew huffs as he slumps back on the bed.

"She's just woken up Matty" Joe says.

"But she's slow! I want a drink... and I want food and and and... I want to open my birthday presents" Matthew huffs.

"I want won't get you anywhere" Joe warns. Matthew does a little huff as he watches Niamh.

Niamh comes back from the toilet and they head downstairs. She grabs her phone off the side and walks into the kitchen.

She turns the kettle on as she sees Matthew run into the living room. "Coffee?" She asks Joe.

"Yes please" Joe smiles and hugs her from behind, feels her bump and kisses her neck a few times.

"You woke up quick" she giggles.

"Had to Matthew is hyperactive... who's idea was it to allow him to share his birthday with Christmas Day?" Joe mutters against her neck.

"I hope your not putting this on me" she smirks.

"Could of held him in for another day" he jokes.

"Guess we both just couldn't wait to meet" she smiles.

Niamh smiles a little as she pours the drinks and then heads into the lounge where Matthew is waiting patiently for once.

"Right Matthew Christmas presents now, birthday presents later when Granny and Grandpa get here" Joe says and Matthew nods.

He runs to a pile of presents and looks at Joe to see if they're the right ones and Joe nods and he starts to open them.

Joe sits himself by Niamh and smiles at her as she watches Matthew excitedly open his presents. He takes care when removing the paper and looks at all his presents in detail before moving on.

Half way through Niamh leans forwards and speaks up. "Matty, this one is off your baby brother or sister" she says with a warm smile.

Matthew smiles happily and rips it open and his face lights up. "What does it say?" Matthew asks as he can only make out the smaller words as he looks at the T-Shirt.

"It says 'I'm going to be a big brother'" Niamh smiles at him.

Matthew smiles and places it down and tries to get it on over his onsie. "It might not fit over that" Joe laughs.

"It will Daddy!" Matthew says breathlessly as he finally gets it on.

Joe smiles as he watches him, "it fits" he chuckles.

Matthew continues to open his presents and Niamh takes a few photos of him. "Mummy, Mummy!! Look!! I got Iron man figure and hulk stickers!" Matthew beams happily.

"Wow you can show Granny and Grandpa later" Niamh smiles.

Matthew smiles and looks at Joe before dashing out the room and upstairs. "Where's he off too?" Niamh laughs.

"That child is full of surprises" Joe smiles.

"He is" Niamh smiles as he comes back down.

"Mummy!" He shouts as he climbs down the stairs.

"Yes Matthew" Niamh laughs.

"I got you a present!" He smiles as he comes in with a medium sized present. "Granny Walsh helped me pick it out!" Matthew beams with a cheeky grin.

"Oh really" Niamh smiles as she takes the present off him.

He sits himself down and smiles up at Niamh. "Open it Mummy!" He smiles.

"Okay okay" Niamh laughs as she rips the paper off.

She looks at it and smiles as she lifts up a small baby grow which says 'baby McFadden No2'.

"Oh my god Matthew" she smiles happily and shows it to Joe.

"Do you like it?" Matthew questions her.

"Matthew I love it, thank you" she smiles and he's pulled into a hug.

Matthew kisses her cheek and goes back to his presents. "That was so thoughtful of him" Joe mutters to Niamh.

"He's such a cutie, I really love it" she smiles

Joe pulls Niamh closer and snuggles up to her. "So proud of you" he mutters against her ear.

"What for" she smiles .

"Giving me such a perfect little boy, can't believe that was six years ago now" he smiles.

"He is perfect isn't he... and thank you not as easy popping one out you know" she giggles a little.

Niamh smiles and sits watching Matthew contently. Another ten minutes and Matthew has finished opening his presents and is now sat playing with his new marvel toys.

"I couldn't have imagined it being like this 6 years ago" she smiles and leans against Joe.

"He'd of been 5 hours old now, can't ever forget that day" Joe replies.

"I remember a lot of it, was a lot in one day" she smiles.

Joe nods and sits stroking her bump. "It's crazy isn't it" he laughs.

Niamh smiles and looks at Matthew. "Matty sweetie, come here I want to take a picture of you with your top and the present you got mummy" Niamh smiles.

He happily walks over and stand up proudly showing off his top waiting. "Here told this to the side of you" Joe smiles as he makes Matthew hold the baby grow.

"Okay" Matthew says and tries to hold is next to him as he stands there waiting for Niamh.
Niamh takes a couple of pictures "oh how sweet are you Matty, you can go back to play now" she smiles.

He smiles and hands back the baby grown to Niamh and goes back to his new toys.

Niamh sits quietly for a while on her phone. She sends the photos to her Mum and also her sister.
