Ill on the job

It's 7am and Niamh is getting up for work, she is still rather bad with her larangytis.

"Morning" Joe smiles as he brings Matthew through to their bedroom.

She smiles a little before getting up, "how you feeling?" he asks.

"Like crap" she whispers.

"Oh dear" he says as he hugs her and Matthew squeals.

"Can't be arsed with work" she croaks as she has barely any voice.

"Unfortunately you've gotta work babe, if only you wasn't working this week" Joe says as he kisses her head.

Niamh sighs, "I'll get him dressed" she says as she takes Matthew.

Joe watches her before going into the bathroom for a shower.

"Right mummy's boy, can you cheer me up cutie?" she whispers. Matthew lies on his changing mat watching Niamh and trying to eat his foot again.

Niamh gets him dressed and heads downstairs and puts Matthew in his highchair and makes him some breakfast.

He bashes is tray and squeals as he's really hungry. "Alright okay" Niamh laughs as she cuts up a banana for him.

"Ma!" She squeals as she comes over and puts the bananas on his tray.

"Eat up darling" Niamh smiles as she hands him a bottle of water.

Matthew eats one and then drops one onto the floor. He starts to cry as that was his last bit.

"Oh dear shall mummy get you some more?" Niamh croaks as she grabs the last banana and cuts it up.

She gives him it before making Joe some toast and then getting her laptop out and going on it while keeping an eye on Matthew.

She checks her private emails and then looks up at Matthew "ma... Ma... Ma... M-m-m" he says as he eats his bananas.

Niamh looks up at him and smiles, "mummy's here" she says before looking down at her MacBook again.

Matthew kicks his legs and squeals as he watches Niamh. Joe comes down and takes his toast and looks over her shoulder "ooh what you doing?" he asks.

"No of your business" she smiles as Joe wraps his arms around her waist and rests his head on her shoulder.

"Oh it is, if it's coming off our shared credit card" Joe smiles as he kisses her head.

"Clothes for Matthew if you must know" Niamh says as she closes her MacBook lid.

"You've been buying a lot reccently" Joe says.

"And? Part of it is my money" Niamh says.

"Was only saying, wasn't trying to have a go, calm" Joe laughs.
Niamh smiles a little, "so where are these new clothes you have bought him that you ordered a few weeks back?" he asks cursiously.

Niamh smiles "oh you know just the few odd things, got him a few more tops and some of those nice shorts for Malaysia" niamh says.

"Ah I see, oh by the way you left the shorts and t-shirts we bought him over at your mums" he says and Niamh nods as she remembers.
