The tooth fairy

Niamh walks into the kitchen, "Mummy!" Matthew cries as he notices her.

"Hey baby what happened" she says as she walks over to him soothes him.

"He ran into Jordan, I think he might have a tooth loose" Joe replies as Matthew just holds onto Niamh.

"Loose?" She asks.

"Yeah. It looks like it's just about hanging on" Joe explains.

"Matty let me see your poorly" Niamh says and Matthew opens his mouth

"...oh..." Niamh says as she pulls away.

"Matthew look at me" Joe says and he does so. Joe tilts Matthews head to see his lower tooth that is loose. He wiggles it before pulling it out.

Niamh suddenly dashes off leaving Joe standing with Matthews tooth.

Joe stands there looking confused, "daddy!" Matthew says looking worried as he looks at the tooth.

"Look Matty, you've lost your first tooth! The tooth fairy will be happy" Joe smiles happily and passes the tooth to Matthew.

Matthew examines it and runs off to find Barbara. "Granny look!" He calls.

Joe smirks and rolls his eyes before going to find Niamh who's sat on the stairs.

"Niamh you ok?" He asks.

She nods and takes a breath, "he's not my baby anymore, first tooth out... where has the time gone" Niamh sighs.

"He's growing up fast, but there will be another baby to squish soon" Joe smiles and kisses her head.

Niamh nods and hugs him. "I want to go home, I feel awful" Niamh mutters.

"I know I know, are you sure? I can look at what flights they have?" Joe asks.

She nods and sits with her head in her hands. "I don't feel right Joe" she mutters.

"But are you well enough to fly?" Joe questions.

"I'm sure I am, still for a couple of weeks yet" Niamh says and shifts on the sofa.

"Right well how about we look tomorrow, Matthew is so happy here. Maybe we should see how you go tonight?" Joe suggests as he pulls her into a hug.

"Sounds good to me" she smiles.

"Smile for me?" Joe smiles hoping she'll smile back.

Niamh pulls a sarcastic smile and after laughs at Joe and leans on him.

"Early night tonight?, bath Matthew and put him to bed and then we can sleep" Niamh suggests with a slight smile

"Sounds like a good idea" Joe smiles.

Niamh leans up to Joe and kiss him. "I love you Mr" she smiles

"Thank you" Joe says trying to keep a straight face as he watches Niamh. "I'm joking, I love you too" he smiles.

"I'm glad this is a two way thing... I mean I only married you for the sex" Niamh giggles not realising Barbara is listening to them.

"Touchè lady, I just couldn't keep my hands away" he smirks and kisses her.

"Mmm Just you wait... I maybe 36 weeks pregnant but I still have the stamina of someone who isn't pregnant" Niamh smirks as she lies across his lap and taps his nose.

"Oh I'm sure your correct on that one" he smirks and runs his fingers through her hair.

She lies there looking up at him lovingly. He then leans forwards and kisses her. "So I want to know while we're alone... what was your best sexual experience with me" Joe chuckles.

"Well there's so many to choose from but one of my favourites was that one time with the edible paint" she smiles.

Joe smirks and strokes her hair. "Too many good memories... mines Christmas Eve... Matthews first birthday, your mums house in Malaysia..." Joe mumbles

"Hmm Joe I couldn't never forget that time" she smirks.

They smile at each other and kiss. "Do you two mind..." Barbara says with a cough at the door.

Barbara makes Niamh jump as she turns around to see her mum. "Oh god mum..." she says and shoves her head in her hands.

"hmmm... lovely you two are, I think you both need your mouths washing out... now come on dinner" Barbara speaks and cringes.

"I can't believe that just happened" Niamh says as her mum goes back into the kitchen.

They both get up and head to have dinner.
