Joe puts Matthews pancakes in the toaster while he pats Maisie.
"Daddy why won't she stop moaning, Mummy always tells me off when I moan" Matthew questions as he stands on the chair watching Joe.

"She's a baby Matthew she's just crying because she can't tell us what she wants, you can because your a big boy now" Joe smiles.

Matthew nods and waits patiently for his breakfast. "What would you like on your pancakes matty" Joe asks.

"Banana and Syrup" Matthew smiles cheekily.

"Coming up" Joe laughs.

He plates Matthews breakfast up and carries it over to the table for him.

"Yummy" Matthew smiles and digs in.

Joe walks around the kitchen holding Maisie against his chest patting her back gently.

Once Niamh gets out the shower she gets dressed and picks up the suitcase that she packed the day before.

She sorts through a few things and opens up the case again and places some of the clothes her Mum has brought for Maisie in the case.

She hears a knock on her door, "knock knock" her mum calls.

Niamh puts some stuff down and turns at looks at Barbara. "Not
Now, that joke is old" Niamh replies simply.

"Oh you want to laugh" Barbara smiles as she walks in.

Niamh sighs and just smiles slightly at her Mum. "Why so down?" Barbara asks as she sits next to Niamh.

They look at each other and Niamh looks away from Barbara. "It's nothing" she mutters.

"Oh darling, you know I'm always here to listen, it's my job" Barbara smiles.

"My job is to just get on with it... I'm fine seriously" Niamh mutters as she stands up and folds some of Matthews clothes and places them in the suitcase.

"Niamh look at me, it's ok to not be ok all the time" Barbara smiles.

Niamh sighs and sniffles a little. "It's hard... I'm struggling, she's three days old and I'm struggling" Niamh mumbles.

"Oh darling I know how you feel, it's all new to you both but you've got each other and you can figure it out" Barbara smiles.

"It's not new though... I had Matthew six years ago... I should be used to it!" Niamh tries to explains.

"I know but he's older now so your getting used to having a new born again" Barbara says.

Niamh nods, "yeah" she mumbles.

"Oh Niamh, it's okay to cry" Barbara smiles as she notices tears slipping down her face.

"I'm sorry" Niamh cries as she wipes her tear.

Barbara pulls her into a hug and kisses Niamh's head gently. "It's okay" she says quietly against Niamh's head.

"We gotta get going, still got to get some things together" Niamh says as she pulls away and faffles with her bags.

"Just don't let it get a hold of you, you've got Joe... he will understand" Barbara smiles

"Thank you mum" Niamh smiles.

"Want me to talk with Joe?" Barbara asks her as she stands to leave Niamh to pack.

"Thank you but I think it should be me" Niamh smiles, Barbara nods and leaves Niamh too it.
